What is the role?  

Data Business Analyst- Remote USA 

The Business Operations team strives to be the analytical brain of ThoughtSpot’s go-to-market (GTM) organization. In this role, you will work with all the functions within the GTM org and empower them to make data-driven decisions by offering them quick and easy access to data insights using ThoughtSpot. You will develop, manage and own a cross-functional portfolio of metrics to help drive the business growth and efficiency. Along with you will be the go-to-person for all ad hoc requests as well as special data projects to help the team.

What you'll do: 

• Build a comprehensive understanding to business metrics driving the go-to-market org
• Build functional worksheets on ThoughtSpot across multiple data sources to empower business users to self-serve with ease.
• Assess our portfolio of metrics and tie the right activities to the right measurements.
• Proactively mine data to identify potential opportunities and lead cross-functional teams to action on insights.
• Partner with senior leaders throughout the GTM org and help address their analytics requirements.
• Conduct analysis that includes defining the problem, data collection, processing, analysis, and presentations that guide strategy and operational plans.
• Create custom insights in the form of charts, dashboards, and reports for more sophisticated analyses 

What you bring:

• 2-3 years in an operations or analytical role at a SaaS company, with at least 1-2 years of direct business partnership with Sales and/or Marketing.
• Exceptional quantitative, MS Excel skills and general understanding of database structures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Drive effective meetings with sales leaders, marketers, teammates, and other leadership.
• Endless curiosity and a need to dive deeper for understanding.
• The desire and capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Knowledge of the GTM motion for B2B SaaS companies.
• Experience with the tools that create and house our data:
  • Salesforce: dashboards & reports, custom report types, data structures, etc.
  • ThoughtSpot, Qlik, Tableau or other analysis/business intelligence tools
  • Moderate SQL query abilities
