Business Consultant
THE OPPORTUNITY:
MassMutual's Worksite Operations Department supports contract administration and service for our Executive Group Life product. As a Business Consultant, you will act as the Worksite Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME). You will be responsible for working with strategic business partners, vendors, and department associates to help drive the prioritization and implementation of integrated solutions and capabilities, provide research and analytical support for complex business operations issues, ensure processes and output remain compliant, and create value and collaboration to ensure that services meet customer and business needs. You will also provide an analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, while translating those into proper business and/or system requirements.
THE TEAM:
The Executive Group Life Worksite Operations team is comprised of multiple roles that service the billing and administration needs of our customers at the group and individual level. Our Policyholder Service Consultants are responsible for all billing matters related to the group. They mainly interact with producing agents and employers. Our Policyholder Services Technical Specialists are responsible for all billing matters related to individual policy's and interact with producing agents and the individual policy owners. The team is highly collaborative, with daily huddle meetings and multiple Microsoft Team channels that are used for knowledge sharing and communication. They are united in servicing the needs of our Executive Group business and partnering with our technology service partner to continuously improve the experience for our customers.
THE IMPACT:
- Subject Matter Expert for all inquiries related to our policy administration system
- Liaison for software vendor responsible for maintaining our policy administration system
- Pre-production and post-production testing resource for any system enhancements and updates
- Resource for team reporting needs from various databases
- Ownership of JIRA dashboard and maintenance of all JIRA tickets

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of related Life insurance industry experience.
- Demonstrated organizational, analytical, detail orientation and relationship management skills are a must for this position.
- Experience leading teams and influencing decision making
- Extensive Microsoft Excel knowledge
- Experience with policy provisions, regulatory bulletins and knowledge of administrative practices relating to company procedures
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong knowledge of Executive Group Universal Life and variable products
- Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences and all levels of management
- Strong knowledge of billing and post issue processes
- Ability to identify and communicate issues that impact strategy, other initiatives and daily operations
- Expert technical knowledge with respect to the Andesa system
- Advanced Excel skills and proficient in other Microsoft Office software
- Proactively identify issues and risks, providing options for resolution and escalating when appropriate
- Looks for and finds ways to improve business operations and the Executive Life Insurance customer experience
