About the job
The Red Hat Sales Operations and Enablement team is looking for a Business Analytics Specialist to join our Global Sales Analytics team in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will support the Ecosystem Field (Sales and Services) team to perform strategy analytics and help manage critical programs to allow the team to promote revenue and enhance Red Hat's competitive position. Your role will be highly visible and help guide the development of actionable insights to support Red Hat's continued growth through improved scale and efficiency. Success in this role will require ownership, proactiveness, and ability to work cross-functionally across the organization. You will work closely with sponsors, project owners, cross-functional teams, and other stakeholders to define deliverables and manage tasks, resources, costs, and progress.
What you will do

  • Identify the goals, objectives, and scope of projects while working with relevant leaders and stakeholders
  • Draw on modeling, quantitative, and strategic analysis skills to investigate business problems, including issues related to sales productivity, to understand key business strategies and initiatives
  • Develop spreadsheet modeling and offer key analysis to inform business decisions
  • Maintain and manage sales reporting and dashboards that are time sensitive and critical to the business
  • Develop sales operations models for operational improvements
  • Conduct primary research to align to these projects and uncover external market insights
  • Identify and validate value-creation opportunities for competitive go-to-market strategies
  • Provide in-house consulting related to strategy and business practices for the Sales and Services team
  • Facilitate, specify, document, and deliver business requirements to management and functional areas to identify resource requirements, costs, and delivery schedule
  • Provide effective and consistent communication between management, resources, and other business partners
  • Provide operational support to the Business Development Sales leadership on forecast, planning, and pipeline management, etc.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Business Development Sales Leadership


What you will bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, financial, and data analytics; MBA is a plus
  • Experience using SQL or similar programs to extract data and perform analysis
  • Experience working with multiple projects in matrixed environment
  • Excellent business intelligence and analytics skills
  • Solid spreadsheet skills with proven experience managing large data sets
  • Excellent persuasive communication skills, with ability to influence at all levels of an organization
  • Excellent collaboration and problem solving skills
  • In-depth knowledge of sales methodology and experience in delivering business case financials, to guide improvements in sales processes and tools
  • Experience using Python or R is a plus
  • Experience developing dashboards and reports utilizing tools like Tableau or Salesforce Tableau customer relationship management (CRM) tools is a plus
