This role supports the Network Quality & Innovation organization and the associated functional processes within Provider Solutions & Operations (PS&O) responsible for overall performance and quality of provider data. This position will perform data analysis activities that improves the quality of provider data and existing processes resulting in improvements in data consumption.

The Business Analytics Lead Analyst should be proficient in understanding and interpreting provider data in both the CPF and HCPM systems. This role requires a proficiency working with data and basic data analysis and an understanding of the importance of data accuracy. The ability to think critically and utilize judgment, fact and discretion in helping to drive quality improvements is required.

Duties Include:

  • Conduct analysis and evaluation of business process and technology through the use of rigorous methods to identify causes of variation, improvement opportunities and solutions considering both upstream inputs into business process and downstream consumers of data
  • Integrate data from multiple sources and support/perform complex data analysis to identify root causes and opportunities for improvements based on fact based analysis
  • Summarize results of analysis and effectively communicate to management recommendations for actions to resolve business issues, including developing, producing, gathering and improving executive and line of business scorecards.
  • Assess the accuracy, completeness of Networks, Contracts, Demographic and Reimbursement data within Cigna systems
  • Implement and support business activities utilizing data mining, reporting, and other intelligence methods and tools
  • Translate business needs into practical applications and solutions
  • Work in close partnership with business partners in a highly matrix environment
  • Manage multiple complex, time sensitive projects designed to deliver targeted outcomes



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher strongly preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of work experience in provider services, provider contracting, network operations or analytics required.
  • Deep understanding and experience with provider related systems including HCP Manager and Central Provider File (includes impacts of downstream provider consuming systems and processes) preferred.
  • Experience and understanding of provider related business processes preferred.
  • Experience in analyzing large complex, multi-dimensional data sets with a variety of tools required
  • Ability to understand current and future technical capabilities and roadmaps, and the ability to speak/translate in both technical and operational terms.
  • Ability to perform detailed analysis and identify requirements to achieve target outcomes.
  • Adept critical thinking skills with the ability to determine causes with consistency in results
  • Strong drive to learn new concepts/technology with the ability to embrace a rapidly changing environment
  • Solid communication skills with the ability to present and discuss data analysis results
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong documentation skills
  • Proven experience in managing multiple priorities and agility in adapting to change
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency preferred (pivot tables, conditional formatting, VLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Experience designing queries in Microsoft Access
  • Ability to run/troubleshoot queries using SQL, Toad and/or SAS, etc to pull and manipulate detail level data from a variety of supporting data tables for analytic research and investigation preferred
  • Experience working with Microsoft tools, specifically SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) to perform ETL(Extract, Transform, Load) operations preferred
  • Tableau experience a plus



This role is WAH/Flex, which allows most work to be performed at home. WAH/Flex employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 if they choose to come onsite or if required to periodically come on site.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $70,400 - $117,400, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
