Position Summary
Responsible for developing and delivering end to end software solutions to accomplish business goals in the client reference data space. Possess programming, Data Analysis and Business Analysis experience with overall 8-10 years of IT experience. Participate in design, development and implementation of solutions aligning to stakeholders' business goals. Be a channel between business and technology teams, by translating business requirements into relevant technology objectives and vice versa. Develop design solutions, test scenarios, and ensure the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust, and well-tested interfaces. Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements. Participates and guides team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle. Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas. Prior experiences working with integrating external reference data from vendors (Orbis, Refinitive, Lexis Nexis, Bloomberg, etc.) preferred.
Responsibilities:

  • Act as a single point of contact for the work assigned from inception to postproduction
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are essential, with excellent analytical/problem solving skills
  • Ability to connect the dots across various applications and business processes, document data flows and identify gaps
  • Understand the Business requirements clearly through Initiating and participating in Refinement sessions
  • Translate business requirements into functional and in turn into technical requirements
  • Perform in-depth data analysis activities and come up with work break down, low-level & high-level design strategies
  • Work effectively within a fast-paced environment
  • Quickly adapt to change and prioritize time effectively
  • Identify risks, mitigation plans and escalate timely
  • Collaborate with Data architects and other global team members in data analysis in turn aid to build effective solutions
  • Conduct design/solution review sessions with all the stakeholders (PO, Data Modelers, DDM etc.)
  • Validate data at every stage (Pre-SIT, SIT and UAT and Production) to make sure functional/business scenarios are addressed
  • Adhere to ADS documentation and CI/CD guidelines
  • Be an innovative thinker for continuous improvement of domain, data, and application capabilities
  • Provide leadership and mentor team for success
  • Analyze complex queries, stored procedures to understand legacy and current processes
  • Competency to wear multiple hats in a team
  • View requirements from global banking product & portfolio management perspective to understand business benefits
  • Take personal ownership of tasks and issues as they arise to find resolution.


Desired Skills

  • Strong business knowledge with Wholesale Credit products & Client Onboarding / KYC
  • General understanding of client data and how it is used and managed
  • Prior experience with matching & integration of vendor data attributes with BOA client Data a plus, adhering to CDD (Customer Due Diligence) policy requirements.
  • Effective communication and coordination between vendors and internal technology teams.


Required Skills

  • Expertise in Analytical Thinking, Attention to Detail, Problem Solving and Innovative thinking skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (both to technical and non-technical audience)
  • Exposure to Financial domain knowledge and/or Wholesale Loans knowledge
  • Proficiency in connecting dots across various applications and business to understand E2E view
  • Ability to effectively communicate across organization depending on audience i.e., in Tech speak (detail) and business speak (exec summary)
  • Proficiency with query tools to aid data analysis - Strong PL/SQL skills - Ability to write and analyze complex queries, stored procedures
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office suite usage
  • Good to have exposure to Hadoop
  • Experience with Oracle Exadata or 10g and above
  • Know-how working in Agile/ scrum teams for Prioritization of work and resource assignments
  • Strong Team player who can influence and guide team for success
  • Works well in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Good with identifying priorities and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Know-how effort and financials estimation
  • Willingness to ask questions and reach out for assistance as required

Jersey City pay range:
$76,500 - $135,000 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
