Your Opportunity
The Operational Services organization at Schwab partners with teams across the firm to deliver on service promises to Schwab clients. We are responsible for best-in-class service, protecting and safeguarding the assets of the firm and our clients, all while increasing scalability and efficiency.

Within Operational Services, the Transformation Solutions Team (TST) is a multi-functional group that is helping to drive transformation across Operational Services and the broader firm. We use a variety of methodologies, tools and capabilities to drive large-scale change. We partner with teams across Schwab to deliver best-in-class experience, service, and processing solutions for our clients and advisors.

TST stewards Schwab's Operational Workforce Technology (OWT) team. OWT requires end-to-end strategy, vision, planning, and execution. OWT encompasses and is the centralized control for 80 applications and 500 macros which supports operational functions throughout the firm.

As a Sr. Business Analyst for our OWT Platform, you will work alongside the Product Owner to help carry out the product vision. You will translate complex business requirements into attainable user stories, ensuring features are consistent with our overarching platform strategy and accelerating value delivery to our business partners, advisors, and clients. As a key member of a cross-functional product team, you will contribute to the evolution of underlying technology solutions, workflow processing, and user experience elements. You will be responsible for identifying use cases to drive new features and functionality, collaborating with cross-enterprise teams to ensure successful launch, user adoption, and realization of client and business value.

What you are good at

  • Working with a multitude of stakeholders to document requirements that drive transformational change to existing business processes
  • Coordinating project activities that span multiple technology teams across the company
  • Gathering and document requirements as user stories, translating functional requirements to technical requirements, and identifying options
  • Partnering with a Product Owner to establish a vision and execution strategy for the scrum team
  • Supporting users post-deployment, identifying issues and driving resolution with our Technology partners
  • Partnering with business users and act as a liaison between business and technical teams
  • Coordinating development, testing, and implementation of solutions with technology partners
  • Highlighting product features and tell stories in a manner clearly understandable to the development team
  • Helping to manage and develop product backlog, as well as user stories backlog for implementation
  • Participating in backlog grooming and refinement scrum ceremonies
  • Attending scrum ceremonies and provide feedback on sprint achievements & goals
  • Supervising the progress of product development, and assist with product release planning and testing



What you have
This role requires a highly motivated, organized, and experienced business-focused individual with a proven record of software delivery in a constantly evolving agile environment.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with track record of delivering business value
  • Solid experience and understanding of Agile in developing epics, themes, user stories, supplementary requirements, and business rules is essential
  • Experience supporting financial services Operations teams
  • Good interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, influencing, prioritization, decision- making and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience using JIRA and Confluence, or equivalent tools is required
  • A background in the financial services industry is a plus; Schwab experience is beneficial but not required
