As a Data Business Analyst in Micron's Enterprise Master Data (EMD) team, you'll create and maintain master data while supporting the design and delivery of solutions that improve Micron's overall data quality. You'll be responsible for leading your teammates to create and maintain high-quality master data used across the entire company. You will partner with your master data leaders to set the vision and strategy for the team, drive all elements of master data policy and governance. We are problem-solvers that bring innovative ideas that accelerate value delivery and relentlessly focus on data quality & data management efficiency improvements.
The Data Business Analyst will be responsible for a wide range of duties to ensure the successful performance of the functional area they support. Primary responsibilities include leading the team and upholding data governance policies, supporting the day to day master data creation and maintenance for their given area of responsibility, and monitoring/auditing the overall data quality. Secondary responsibilities include documenting and analyzing business processes; closing documentation gaps in existing processes, identifying process weaknesses and gaps, drive continuous improvements that will increase efficiency and streamline processes for improved data quality.
Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain trusted relationships with your leaders and partner organizations.
  • Manage master data creation and maintenance in a variety of source systems to support business teams in meeting day to day operational objectives
  • Be a subject matter expert (SME) in the data assignment and in the systems used to manage the data in assigned functional area
  • Maintain As-Is EMD process and procedure documentation to drive clear understanding of master data management processes and concepts across the global organization and support team member development.
  • Analyze data, information and business requirements to understand the effects of poor data quality, identify process weaknesses and gaps to drive improvement opportunities
  • Prepare and present data results, conclusions and recommendations for continuous improvement opportunities to process stakeholders and leadership
  • Lead cross-functional teams in To-Be process development, deployment and training to support continuous improvement opportunities
  • Partner with business teams in the development of standards, business rules and guidelines for outlining data quality expectations
  • Monitor audits and issue identification to ensure data integrity and to support data cleanup approach to improve data quality
  • Build and maintain relationships with a wide variety of internal organizations (business owners, practices, departments) to understand current and future data needs and strategy for data in assigned functional area required to meet business objectives


Qualifications

  • Self-motivated and service oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and leadership skills
  • Strong persuasive and diplomatic communication skills (oral, written, one-on-one, and group)
  • Proven ability to drive the development, documentation and implementation of business processes
  • Proficient in use of all Microsoft Office products to support day to day job functions
  • Proficient in the use of standard systems and tools to manipulate and manage data (SAP, MS Excel, MS SharePoint, SQL, Information steward, etc.)
  • Ability to identify, understand and communicate the interdependencies and impact across the organization
  • Experienced in the use of standard process modeling software to document processes and procedures (iGrafx, Enterprise Architect, and/or Visio, etc) preferred
  • Experienced in SAP and Teamcenter preferred
