Business Analyst

As an Engineering Business Analyst you will play a crucial role in managing the satellite network used to offer inflight internet and entertainment. As travel demand resumes the addressable market for inflight connectivity is set to fly high. Help shape the future connected world.
Are you up to the challenge?
- You will make a difference managing the annual and monthly spend plans. Work with cross-functional engineering and finance teams to ensure the budget is accurate and understood by all teams.
- Partner with peers across the Intelsat business. You will become an authority establishing yourself as an expert who can easily speak the languages of Accounting Finance Supply Chain and Legal.
- Manage key vendor partnerships for contracts and invoices.
- Prepare reports to senior leadership on the state of the satellite network budget.
- Support the Sales and Business Development teams for responding to Airline Proposals. Includes evaluating airline routes with current and future routes to assess performance expectations.
You should definitely have:
- A great work ethic with a positive can-do attitude.
- High levels of initiative and accountability.
- A technical background with business acumen. A Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Computer or Electrical Engineering is ideal.
- 1-3 years of experience in a technical/business role.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel required (pivots VLOOKUP etc.).
- Some exposure perhaps academically to software coding/scripting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage influence and inspire internal and external stakeholders.
It would be nice if you had:
- Accounting/Business/Management/Finance minor. Related prior experience might include technical management budgeting forecasting Financial Planning & Analysis or Accounting.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience coding and scripting in Linux/UNIX-based environments.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems especially Microsoft Dynamics Navision Dynamics 365 Business Central Oracle or SAP.
- Experience in the aviation telecommunications wireless or satellite industries; some familiarity with airline fleet types.
