Job Description As an experienced professional in Business Analysis, you'll shape the technology solutions that drive strategic initiatives across the firm. Working at the intersection of business and technology, you'll interact with colleagues in various lines of businesses to learn about challenges and opportunities, and translate that insight into high-quality solutions. In addition to working with the development team to create new solutions, you'll help optimize existing technology and identify new capabilities. While your role requires deep technological skills - including expertise in everything from data management to functional design - it also hinges on teamwork and leadership. You'll offer clear guidance and feedback to your Business Analysis colleagues, while promoting the values, culture, and brand of JPMorgan Chase & Co.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Advanced knowledge of business processes and data analysis, as well as the ability to construct complex data queries and collaborate with colleagues
  • Ability to liaison between lines of business and development teams, translating strategic goals into technology solutions, and vice versa
  • Experience in project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning
  • Understanding of business needs, including how data is used and managed, and functional design
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals


Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Serve as a liaison between Technology, Product leads, and Operations Stakeholders.• A keen eye for detail with ability to influence stake holders with a view to drive consensus.• Assist in requirements creation, scope definition and priorities.• Create Epics, stories and keeping the documentation up-to-date• Drive creation of detailed functional specifications with AS-IS process flows and target state processes. • Provide functional support throughout the project lifecycle, from requirements/functional specs to reviewing SIT and UAT test cases, and supporting all the testing phases.• Partner with the development teams to facilitate the build effort (e.g. ensuring build teams understanding of the specifications).• Manage changes to requirements per process • Develop use cases, and partner with the business to ensure sign-off on all requirements, testing and implementation• Facilitate implementation of new functionality through training sessions, demonstrations, and the development of appropriate documentation.• Ensuring projects meet quality expectations and are completed on time and within budget.• Driving scrum ceremonies as part of Agile development lifecycle• Resolving project conflicts with affected management, technology peers and business partners• Simultaneously managing multiple projects of significant complexity.• Developing project budgets, tracking actual against forecast and remaining within departmental guidelines for variance• Identifying project risks, implementing appropriate mitigation strategies. Escalating risks and exposures to management.• Identification, escalation and resolutions of issues and interdependencies between projects.• Setting up & driving meetings and workshops as required.• Release planning , preparation & execution of implementation plan• Producing project documentation including financial reports, status reports, issues and risk logs and presenting to senior management.
Qualifications• Minimum 12+ years of relevant Business Analysis experience• Experience obtaining requirements from business users and subject matter experts, reviewing business priorities, and/or analyzing options & risks.• Trade Finance domain Experience is a plus• Ability to write and create detailed business and functional requirements• Ability to lead a team of BA's to deliver functional solutions for business problems• Experience creating functional system requirements specifications• Pro-actively lead/participate in design/solution architecting of target state• Ability to interface directly with Senior Business Stakeholders and operation users.• Well versed with MS Excel, Jira, Mind Maps and SQL.• Should be Detail-oriented, strong analytical and communication skills are a must.• Ability to synthesize large amounts of information, and a curiosity to ask appropriate questions to fully develop business and functional requirements.• Knowledge of software development life cycle• Agile experience• Understating of programing languages like Java, Python will be added advantage.
