Who you are

You are a versatile individual with strong business and data analysis skills. You have at least 3 years experience working in this field. You understand reporting concepts such as grouping, sorting, pivoting, and visualizations. You have SQL /Database Query Language experience and enjoy working in a fast paced environment. You are capable of managing a business information and analytics system on your own to deliver reports for business stakeholders and customers alike. You have excellent communication skills and are looking to make an impact on our company! 

What You’ll Do

As the first Business Analyst here at Stavvy, you will play an integral role in our operations team and will report to our Head of Technical Solutions and Operations. You will be responsible for maintaining a structural model of our database by working closely with engineering, and creating simplified views that stakeholders will be able to use for reports. You will meet with different teams to understand the business challenges they are facing, the data necessary to guide their decisions, and maintain accurate reports which enable leadership and business decisions. You will be able to mold the role and reporting infrastructure as you see fit, and create a large impact on how we use our data.

In this role you will:

• Maintain the underlying LookML model and view layers to ensure the reports are pulling data accurately to the Stavvy database
• Build and maintain report dashboards for different stakeholders in the company
• Meet with business stakeholders and understand their requirements for reports, KPIs, QBRs, and then decipher what metrics are necessary for those reports
• Work with engineering teams to understand the structure of Stavvy’s internal database to produce better reports
• Articulate the structure of reports in a way that business stakeholders understand and can work with.

Our office is also currently located in Newton, MA with an anticipated move date to Boston this coming December. We currently have limited capacity in-office due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We are currently accepting candidates who live near or are looking to move within the commutable vicinity of Boston, MA. This job will start remote but be expected to be in office when the new location opens to foster collaboration with team members and fellow Stavviators.
