The role:

The Business Analyst will be a part of the Product organization and will work with internal and external stakeholders. Internal stakeholders include cross functional teams (Sales, Operations, and Engineering). External stakeholders range from clients, vendors, banking partners, and card associations. The work involves developing a strong understanding of marketplace competitors, vendor evaluation, development of assessment frameworks, data analytics, research into complex problems and development/enhancement of existing processes. 

In this role the Business Analyst will be the main point of contact across internal Galileo teams (Operations, Product and Finance) and directly support the Senior Director of Risk and Data Product. 

The Business Analyst will be responsible for market research, opportunity sizing, development of business cases, and preparation of presentation materials for internal and external stakeholder reviews. Additionally, the Business Analyst will have direct exposure to structuring new partnerships, working through complex contracts, negotiating deals, and making recommendations for pricing new products. Finally, the Business Analyst will partner with various members of the Risk and Data product team on design, development and rollout of large cross-organizational initiatives. 

What you will be doing:

  • Researching marketplace capabilities and developing evaluation frameworks
  • Building business cases and presenting recommendations to senior management
  • Analyzing data sets to identify trends, areas for improvement, and new opportunities; provide recommendations
  • Collaborating with product team to provide support in launching large cross-functional initiatives
  • Working with internal and external partners to understand needs and recommend solutions
  • Defining standard metrics to establish baselines and measure outcomes
  • Soliciting user feedback to learn, iterate and innovate

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in technical, business or analytic field
  • 3+ years of experience in a consulting firm, financial institution, or high growth business in an analytical capacity
  • Advanced proficiency in data analytics, and tools such as Google Suite and MS Office applications
  • Ability to influence and drive cross-functional initiatives
  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills
  • Excellent time and project management skills with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and work collaboratively
  • Inquisitive nature, attention to detail, diligence and a good attitude
  • Methodical, self-starter, hands-on
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
