Job Description

We are currently seeking a Business Analyst for our Utilities Consulting Division.

The business has a consulting mindset to understand utilities industry challenges to develop and implement leading edge solutions, such as digital transformation and digital twins. He/she will also work with our sales and services staff to understand our client’s requirements, translate those requirements into solutions and to our utility industry clients across North America. As part of a services organization, candidate must have excellent communication and customer service aptitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Find the key goals, and value streams from the client through research of the target audience’s needs/issues, user’s expectations, and their behavior via workshop interviews consisting of:
    • Lead client discussions and presentations to document goals
    • Position IMAGINiT Technologies (who are we & how we can help)
    • Lead workshops to map exiting workflows and find areas where our technology solutions can optimize those workflows Review/Evaluation of current processes and structure of the company with Stakeholders/Users (User Stories)
    • Mapping of processes/issues to decide the starting point and “actual state” and desired “target state”
    • Present solution concepts
    • Summary of Findings, KPI’s and Roadmap Planning
  • Work closely with the services team, sales staff and customers to document business goals and related processes.
  • Lead multidisciplined technology discussions
  • Interface with various levels of project executives up to and including C-Level leaders
  • Drive problem formulation, comprehensive analysis, and problem resolution
  • Establish client value propositions that tie key strategic, financial, and operational metrics directly to near-and long-term business improvement.
  • Contribute to the engagement process from start to finish, including setting scopes, budgets, staffing resources, creation and coordination of client-ready deliverables and aid with communication of results with clients
  • Drive problem formulation, comprehensive analysis, and problem resolution
  • Act as a brand ambassador always seizing opportunities to increase IMAGINiT’s visibility in the marketplace

Qualifications

  • Utility industry related experience in a design/production environment.
  • Diploma or degree in an industry related discipline such as, IT or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in a consulting environment providing clients with implementation services.
  • Experience with business workflow mapping and translating them into business ready documentation is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Resourceful, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational, time and project management skills.
  • Strong business acumen, high energy, self-motivated and able to work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to be engaged in multiple projects at one time is essential.
  • This position requires travel. Travel is often by air, is outside the local area and overnight. Access to a reliable automobile and a valid driver’s license as well as the ability to legally enter both Canada and the US.
