The Business Analyst Manager will work within the A&F IT and business community to ensure systems meet the business requirements of the user community with emphasis on Merchandising, Planning, Forecasting, Supply Chain, Sourcing & Inventory Management. The Business Analyst Manager will coordinate and lead a group of Business Analysts embedded within Scrum Teams in reinforcing appropriate best practices in ways of working within Agile Scrum teams, building a deeper understanding of business processes and analysis of the systems that support these processes, and help coach the team on A&F’s leadership standards.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Capable of developing Leadership skills in others through direct reports and mentoring
- Builds up team confidence in skillset, analysis, and critical thinking skills through coaching and training
- Participates and collaborates in hiring activities, including the crafting of SOWs, when appropriate, for external team members
- Ensures that necessary documentation and elicitation techniques are used to define necessary business rules, logic, and requirements through process flows, system context diagrams, business workflows, excel matrices, visuals, etc.
- Can conduct current and future state reviews, capturing initial requirements and project assumptions as required during Concepting with the Portfolio Planning Manager and Enterprise Architects
- Works with Business Leads, IT Application Leads and Enterprise Architects to craft initial Feature Maps, Dependency Maps, and sizing for use with initial project and resource plans when applicable
- Partners with Agile coaches, technical, business, and QA teams to ensure Feature and User stories are written at an appropriate level and the needs of the teams are being met
- When applicable, work with project leaders, architects, and application teams to determine the right technical solutions that meet the business requirements
- Oversees Team BA’s workload to help manage and promote a healthy work-life balance
- Reinforces best practices with story acceptance criteria to ensure fulfillment of business requirements and IT quality, architectural, and security standards
What Do You Need To Bring?
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, MIS/CIS, Engineering, or related experience preferred
- 6-8 years of professional experience in Business Analyst work, particularly in Agile, preferred.
- 2-3 years of professional experience in leading team(s)
- Strong interpersonal skills including collaboration, facilitation, leadership, and negotiation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate cross-cultural communication between and among highly experienced business and IT associates
- Strong belief in collaboration and relationship building to achieve goals in team settings
- Excellent planning and organizational skills; capable of managing multiple projects/tasks in parallel
- Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations.
