Business Analyst, Data Management
The Business Analyst, Data Management plays a critical role at Syndigo. A hybrid of the business analyst and data analyst roles, this role carries responsibility for ensuring fit-for-purpose product data quality - complete, correct, and aligned to business needs. The Analyst reviews and aggregates data, and interfaces with commercial, product, development, and data teams to create analysis that drives prioritization and continuous improvement of content throughout the data management and software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities

• Programmatically and manually analyze and audit product data to identify/resolve gaps in quality
• Identify and document new trends and business rules to enhance product data quality
• Analyze data exceptions to identify patterns and root cause
• Conduct data mapping and automated transformation analysis
• Triage and provide impact assessment and business justification for priority
• Coordinate activities/projects within SDLC to drive remediating activities
• Report, track, and communicate the status of assigned items to a diverse group of stakeholders
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong data analysis competencies, with a focus on quality, data integrity, and pattern recognition
• Experience with SQL, Excel, Visio, or other data analysis and visualization tools
• Ability to effectively manage time and adjust to changing priorities
• Effective communication skills to distill key messages and impacts
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders
• Detail-oriented, but able to handle ambiguity
• Always hungry to find great data insights, trends, and identify anomalies!

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree required
• 2-5 years of proven data analysis, data transformation, requirements definition
• Technical background in ETL, Data Engineering a plus, but not required
• Ecommerce experience preferred
