The CIB Chief Data Office (CDO) is a business-centric organization whose purpose is to unlock value for our stakeholders through timely delivery of high-quality, compliant data. The CIB CDO oversees the overall strategy and execution of the CIB data agenda.
Contributing to the broader CIB CDO agenda, the Reference Data Product (RDP) organization is entrusted to provide reference data products which support and enhance the needs of our business consumers. RDP's core functions are Business Relationship Management, Product Solutions, and Portfolio Management. Partnering closely with Technology, this diverse global team is dedicated to delivering high quality reference data solutions in line with the needs of our line-of-business and their respective clients. The Reference Data Product Solutions function drives the overall product vision and strategy, aligning to business priorities. The product suite includes Party Central, Reference Data Taxonomy (Business Taxonomy, Common Static Data, and Enterprise Product & Services Taxonomy), Reference Data Analytics, and Reference Data as a Service (RDaaS) architecture, components, and integration. The team works closely with both business stakeholders and technology partners to define new product features and drive business value.

Description of Role, Functions and Activities
The Reference Data Mart program of work provides real-time analytics and visualizations for Reference Data MIS and Data Quality. This program delivers a fully automated end to end solution for Operations Management and staff to analyze and visualize aggregated data and trends for reference data population, work load, data quality exception queues and volume metrics for Reference Data SoRs via customizable dashboards.
The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of Banking Reference Data, engaging with stakeholders and technology teams to analyze & document requirements & gaps in areas of data sourcing, data aggregation, reporting & data visualization/dashboards. Familiar with scrum style of project execution, managing & prioritization of backlog and ownership of end to end delivery is expected.
KEY OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE

  • Performing detailed business analysis in support of product features from opportunity identification, business case development through product performance
  • Defining meaningful metrics to track, how to interpret them, and how to offer course corrections at the program or feature team level when necessary towards building dashboards and managing KPI data
  • Defining and ensuring adherence to Agile best practices
  • Defining and managing program work intake processes
  • Defining and coordinating program level releases
  • Facilitate solution demos to stakeholders


TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES OF THE ROLE

  • Knowledge of one or more Reporting Tool e.g. Tableau, SAP BO, Qliksense, Alteryx others
  • Knowledge of SQL (Oracle, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Agile tools, like Jira, Version one, etc.
  • Writing technical specs, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Knowledge of Data Test strategy & data testing is a PLUS.

  • Strong written & verbal communication skills - Comfortable presenting in front of teams and leadership; possesses tools and techniques to keep participants engaged
  • Ability to think outside the box and able to negotiate with parties to achieve a desired outcome
  • Assumes ownership of problems and sees them through to resolution, making appropriate decisions where necessary.
  • Proactive in identifying issues & making recommendations
  • Adapts positively to change and acts as a change agent


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years relevant experience in Business & Data Analysis space
  • Experience in working in Data Management - Master Data, Data Quality Reporting, Data Analytics, etc.
  • Agile Expertise - able to drive adoption across team
  • MBA in Financial/Banking Domain is a Plus
