Your role

Are you interested in joining a growing team with the ability to make a difference by ensuring a consistent BSA/AML risk management approach across the organization? We're looking for someone like that who can support the BUSA BAMLO Team with Data Management. You will be collaborating with the WM USA AML Strategy, Reporting and Transformation Team within UBS Financial Services as well as various other teams within the 1st and 2nd lines of defense:

Key competencies and responsibilities include• day to day tracking, coordination and prioritization of the reporting requests and deliverables• data proficient with ability to perform database query validation• effective communication and presentation skills. Strong ability to take an ill-defined concept, analyze and translate it into functional and non-functional specifications to drive meaningful business decisions• plays a lead role in overall governance activities such as analytics, reconciliation, remediation, reporting, issue tracking, change control, approvals and escalations• evaluate effectiveness of processes and controls; proactively identify gaps, define solutions, and execute on process and control improvements• effective liaison with various teams - business, IT and project/program management technology stakeholders to deliver critical time bound rollouts• work closely with and establish effective communication channels with key stakeholders, SME's and clients to gather project requirements, specifications and limitations in order to develop state of the art reporting capabilities.• communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, with ability to influence and challenge key decision makers, peer groups, internal service providers and functions outside direct control

Your team

Are you interested in joining a growing team with the ability to make a difference by ensuring a consistent BSA/AML risk management approach across the organization? You'll be working as part of the BUSA BSA/AML Data Analyst, reporting to the Business AML Officer (BAMLO). Our team is responsible for managing all Business Risk (1st line of defense) in partnership with multiple Control areas (second line of defense).

Your expertise
• college degree with at least 5 years of experience with studies in or relating to data management or business preferred, graduate degree in a related field (including: computer science or finance) is a plus • minimum 4+ years in Finance, Compliance or Risk role encountering BSA/AML matters regularly• minimum 2+ years in Project or Program Management experience• ability to work across multiple divisions in a large bank structure. • strong experience in liaising between technical and business teams preferred.• ability to deliver quality results within fast-paced project deliverable deadlines• proficient in understanding and interpreting complex data.• experience in mining through large datasets and converting into meaningful Storyboards and Management Level Reporting.• experience creating test cases and/or testing datasets to ensure it aligns with business requirements preferred.• strong operational background in account opening and/or account maintenance is a plus• familiar with Client Onboarding, PKR, Risk Rating processes is a plus• organized, analytical and able to readily interpret and present data, including legal and compliance related materials • self-confident, have strong judgment, and evidence sound decision making and problem solving skills• comfortable collaborating with diverse constituencies • expert in Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access). Deep understanding of data structure, databases or SQL language is a plus.
