Commercial Banking IT is looking for a Big Data Software Engineer with skills and experience with large-scale Hadoop based
data platforms who will be responsible for design, development and testing of a next generation enterprise data hub
and reporting and analytic applications. The candidate will be accountable for design, development, implementation and post-implementation maintenance and support. The candidate will develop and test new interfaces, enhancements/changes to existing interfaces, new data structures, and new reporting capabilities.
Responsibilities:

• Work as a developer for the Commercial Bank Hadoop enterprise data platform
• Develop components for big data platforms related to data ingestion, storage, transformations and analytics
• Test data components and ensure they meet requirements
• Ensure the unit of code and design follow reference architecture standards
• Incorporate new and existing technology platforms with defined use
• Collaborate with other developers and architects to enhance the capabilities of the applications
• Assist in cross-team collaboration and design discussions
• Provide migration functionality from Cloudera Hadoop Distribution to Cloudera Data Platform for data domains.

Skills:

• 4+ years of experience with Big data distribution and analytics, specifically in Cloudera Ecosystem.
• Must consist of hands-on experience with a full project life-cycle implementation with the following features:
  • • Data volumes in terabytes with vertical and horizontal scalability
    • Structured and unstructured/semi-structured data
    • High Volume systems
    • High speed querying
    • Analytics use cases including in-memory processing
    • Highly secure system
    • Metadata management
    • High volume Data migration projects
    • Relational database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2)
