Overview BigBear.ai is seeking an experienced Big Data Engineer to build and develop our next-generation enterprise products across the BigBear.ai portfolio. You will work in close partnership with engineers, developers, designers, and BigBear.ai leadership throughout the process, and play a key role in the development and implementation our products. What you will do Create a platform for capture, management, and exposure of connection-based data linking entities across multiple BigBear.ai capabilities. Design strategies to enable rapid access to all connective elements for a given identifier. Enable cross-type analysis driven by connections amongst types (e.g. sensor to sensor, place to event). Enable graph-based analytic techniques, advanced seeding strategies, and export of connection-specific data. Collaborate with Product Manager and Engineering to build and deliver innovative products to market. Perform demonstrations and briefings to product stakeholders. Perform requirements analysis, system design, and technical documentation Perform research and development for system engineering and product advancement Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications What you need to have 4+ years (MINIMUM) of professional software development experience. 4+ years of experience with the Java programming language (1.6+) or similar high-level language in a professional environment. Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and design Strong communication and leadership skills Experience with database technologies and CRUD concepts Experience with software build processes and tools (e.g. Maven, Git, Gradle) Experience with shell scripting (e.g. bash, Python) Experience with the Linux/Unix environment B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience By January 4, 2022, all employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof of vaccination or obtain an approved exemption as an accommodation. Qualifications
4+ years (MINIMUM) of professional software development experience. 4+ years of experience with the Java programming language (1.6+) or similar high-level language in a professional environment.
