JOB SUMMARY
The BI Analyst/Developer will be responsible for design and development of advanced reporting and visualization tools, building dashboards, auditing and troubleshooting data issues, and building analytical solutions. The position requires regular communication with customers to define requirements and present deliverables. This role will interface with the analytics/data science team to discover visualization methods to present advanced analytics data.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop BI and analysis solutions for enterprise and departmental organizations based on underlying data sources, such as data warehouses, SQL databases, SSAS cubes and Excel files
- Think out-of-the-box to design visualization solutions that meet and exceed customer expectations as the department transitions from a report-focused to an analytics organization
- Query data from SQL Server/Oracle/Snowflake to access data for reports
- Validate and debug BI solutions based on test plans built from user requirements
- Prepare formal deliverable documentation and present to customers
- Provide team with business and technical support
- Identify risks and escalate to management appropriately
- Lead discussions and interface with various departments including Finance, Sales, Marketing and Operations to research, define, and document BI requirements
- Design visualization tools in Tableau and Looker, including reports, dashboards, and what-if analyses
- Responsible for fully understanding business processes to ensure data and information integrity when importing from source systems
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of database design, SQL and data warehousing
- Ability to interface with various levels in an organization
- Strong data analysis skills
- Advanced problem solving with ability to identify and evaluate solution alternatives
- Ability to learn new technologies and tools
- Capable of working independently to solve problems under deadlines and to manage multiple projects/priorities under time constraints
- Detail oriented with emphasis on accuracy and consistency
- Knowledge of data visualization and presentation methods for data analysis and interpretation, performance dashboards, and generating, managing and delivering presentations and reports capable of yielding insights and actionable results
Education
Bachelor's degree in Analytics/BI, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience

- Looker or Tableau report/dashboard development experience

- Data Modeling (conceptual & logical) experience

The pay for this position has a minimum of $76,800.00. The actual salary offer may be higher as we carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
