Work you'll do
As a Data Engineer (AWS), you'll efficiently build data driven scalable solutions using Amazon AdTech product portfolio and AWS technologies together, support the implementation of customer data platforms (CDPs), and serve as a key player as it relates to data management. Your responsibilities will include:
- Interface with clients to gather requirements, map solutions, and make recommendations related to advertising and marketing related data
- Oversee the design and integration of advertising data sets and audience, insights, and measurement tools developed using Amazon AdTech and AWS technologies
- Lead customer project conference calls or interface with project manager
- Create technical specifications to drive development of the solution
- Deliver technical specifications documents for customer review
- Design custom development solutions that meet customer requirements
- Progress through full development lifecycle for custom solution
- Deploy new solutions to production environments
- Maintain and support new and existing solutions and frameworks
- Innovate on new ideas to solve customer needs and assist to market internally new solutions
- Provide project estimates and timelines to drive new business
- Partnership and collaboration with sales and other internal teams
- Teaming with engagement managers to communicate project status, risk and issues to clients as appropriate
- Engaging cloud solution engineers and other domain-specific SMEs (Amazon, Adobe, Salesforce, Oracle, Google and similar) to support platform implementation as needed
- Coordinating Testing/SIT/UAT activities as required by project scope and team structure

Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in the advertising and/or marketing domain
- Minimum 3 yeas of experience working with cloud technologies with at least 1 year of experience working with AWS services
- Hands-on experience working with DevOps CI/CD based implementation
- Strong foundation services experience - SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, IAM, CloudWatch, System Manager, KMS
- Experience with ML pipelines a plus
- Experience with Kinesis and Redshift a plus
- Ability to travel up to 20 percent (While 20% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)

AWS Skill Sets
Data Analytics
- Hands-on experience consuming data from data lakes using SQL
- Strong Python development skills for data analysis
- Strong SQL skills to write queries to support complex use cases
- Experience with AWS Athena, Quick Sight
- Experience integrating and working with REST APIs
- Experience building and reviewing dashboards with other visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI a plus
- Experience with Redshift a plus
App Development
Building a micro services architecture that leverages Lambdas, API Gateway, Dynamo DB via CI/CD. Candidates must be skilled in one or more of the following services.
- Lambda (priority)
- Dynamo DB (priority)
- Serverless Application Model (SAM)
- API Gateway
- CloudFormation
Preferred:
- Experience and knowledge with marketing cloud solutions
- Experience and knowledge with web analytics or digital marketing
- Experience working with public cloud offerings (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and similar)
- GCP - (Cloud Functions, Composer, SQL, Storage, Dataproc, Datastore, Kubernetes, Big Query, Stackdriver, Pub/Sub)
- AWS - (Lambda, Glue, Data Pipeline, Redshift, Aurora, Athena/Spectrum, S3/Glacier, Fargate, Cloud Watch, Kinesis)
- Azure - (Functions, Batch, Blob Storage, Data Warehouse, Data Factory, Containers, Monitor, Service Bus)
- Experience and knowledge with data science, ML/AI, R, or Jupyter
- Experience and knowledge with customer data platforms or demand side platforms
- Experience as an enterprise technical or engineer consultant
- Experience using C#, Java or Python
- Experience with Amazon ad products a plus
- Hands-on experience with Lake Formation, Glue, Step Functions, Lambdas, EMR
- Experience working with use cases within one to many of the following sectors: CPG, Retail, Technology, Media & Entertainment, Automotive, and Financial Services
