Overview
The AVP of Data & Analytics will lead managers and teams of analyst in cross divisional Data, Reporting, and Analytical support across the Servicing, Retail and Marketing divisions. This individual will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives leading the development of solutions for internal clients and establishing processes and measurement protocols across the enterprise. The individual in this position will be required to efficiently and effectively review, organize, and present large sets of complex information. This position will entail interacting with Executive and Senior Level Management, presenting findings, and recommending appropriate solutions.
Job Description

  • Lead a multifaceted organization of managers and data analysts to lead and develop strategic initiatives and projects that effect the bottom line for the company
  • Manage costs and resources associated with their department and division
  • Establish and monitor goals set forth to move the department and company forward
  • Lead cross functional projects to ensure projects are aligned with the company strategy when developing solutions for our clients
  • Analyzes historical portfolio and industry trends that assist with the creation of predictive models that forecast performance
  • Analyzes large, multi-dimensional datasets, identifying actionable insights and recommendations
  • Performs time series analyses and forecasts based on seasonality, trend, and cyclicality
  • Oversees the tracking/reporting of client data on a daily, weekly, monthly basis to assess business performance and recommend related strategies
  • Effectively communicates findings to management through presentations, email and spreadsheets
  • May be required to support new business initiatives through demonstration of analytical capabilities
  • Offers strategic perspective, sound business judgment and a collaborative work style
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • Experience in leading and managing teams to develop strategic organizational initiatives.
  • Experience with statistical software tools such as SAS
  • Fluent in using Microsoft Excel for data manipulation, analysis, and charting
  • Understanding of Excel based macros and/or VBA
  • Critical thinking and the capability of generating consistently accurate, useful reports as well as a enthusiasm for translating data into actionable insight relevant to marketing program objectives
  • Attention to detail and time management to deliver high quality work for multiple projects across several client engagements while meeting deadlines
  • Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word
  • Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
  • Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment
  • Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred
