Summary:

The role of configuration analyst is critical to the successful implementation of a software system, as well as maximizing the functionality of the tools available. The configuration analyst is often the key point person on the different options available to solve a business challenge. They are expected to be completely familiar with the details of the system and be able to refer team members to the appropriate system documentation. The ideal Configuration Analyst possesses the ability to learn software rapidly to configure and apply analytical troubleshooting tools. They will work cross-functionally with teams within Pearson as well as with external users to facilitate the configuration of various system components.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in configuration of company applications based on business requirements
• Develop configuration requirements document and obtain approval from business owners
• Plan and execute assigned configuration tasks within deadlines
• Provide system configuration support based on changing business needs
• Assist in system analysis, design, development, and testing activities
• Provide support in developing, implementing, and testing
• Develop and maintain configuration policies and procedures
• Review and recommend changes to existing configuration processes
• Analyze and resolve configuration issues in a timely manner

Skills & Abilities:

  • High School Diploma (college degree preferred)
  • 1+ years in configuration or related field
  • High technical aptitude
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office
  • Strong knowledge of AGILE methodologies, including JIRA & Confluence
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to be an effective team member


As required by theColorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Pearson provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $50,000-60,000. This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program, and information on benefits offered is here.
