Position Description

Associate Program Analyst

In the role of Associate Program Analyst for a NAVSEA program, you will assist in developing and maintaining Microsoft Office based products and SharePoint/shared drives to manage data related to ship acquisition program and new construction operations.

Under the supervision of the Program Manager for PMS 515 Engineering Support Services, you will:
  • Perform assignments in the area of navy ship acquisition, construction, and testing efforts including data collection, compilation, and analysis.
  • Anticipate future requirements, assists in evaluating plans for various projects or program activities to meet requirements. Help manage design site operations including seat allocation, meeting planning, coordination and execution, office functions (e.g., printing, Wi-Fi, supplies, etc.), and personnel administration, training, etc.
  • Assist senior analysts in providing strategic solutions to government customer, based on analysis of data provided.
  • Apply operational background, as well as academic understanding of analytic theory and principles to assist in solving current and/or future mission needs or to correct problem areas.
  • Assist in preparing or coordinating the preparation of Microsoft Office based products as required.
  • Participate in working groups, program development forums, analytical activities, readiness exercises, training, education, and other forums as required to accomplish contract requirements.
  • Track metrics on the quality of programs and documents.
  • Assist in the resolution of project and program priorities, assuring quality control throughout all contract activities.
  • Function as the program expert and assists Task Leads on fundamentals of security, scheduling, meetings, badging, team training and all necessary personnel certifications and capabilities.
  • Assist Program Manager and Task Leads with special projects, additional duties, and other responsibilities as assigned.


To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • Up to two years of directly relevant work experience. (In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more comparable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving recent technology or labor market shortages as reflected by market survey data.)
  • Demonstrate proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as Teams and SharePoint).
  • Possess sound verbal and written skills.
  • Possess the ability to conduct presentations.
  • Possess strong people skills.

Additional desired experience and skills:
  • Familiarity with NAVSEA organization is a PLUS.
