This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Global Services (BGS) digital and analytics government and military business customers. The Analytics Systems and Data Analyst will work in a fast-paced environment and must be efficient in working both independently and across dynamic development organizations. The position will be responsible for collecting data, ensuring security protocols, managing incoming customer data sources and performing complex data analysis with both existing tool-sets. This position will require the use and knowledge of data analysis techniques and the ability to create new analysis techniques as needed to provide timely and actionable results to customers. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with project managers, development teams, as well as technical and non-technical customers. The candidate will engage frequently and work closely with the Mission Accelerator leadership, customer technical experts, and government officials representing customer program management interests.The data analysis capabilities developed by the team provide customers with a variety of capabilities focused on operational, maintenance, supply and training optimization and analytics. Examples of capabilities include, but are not limited to, predictive maintenance solutions, supply chain optimization solutions utilizing advanced demand forecasting, real-time decision support models to optimize troubleshooting of complex systems. This team is defining the future of digital and analytics capabilities for our customers. As part of this program, you'll work with a wide range of cutting edge software engineering technologies as well as the latest data science solutions. That includes internal development activities as well as partnering with other industry leaders to bring the best of breed solutions to Boeing's customers.Position Responsibilities:

  • Researches and performs basic analysis of processes, applications, systems and data to identify functional requirements for application or system design.
  • Assists customers to clarify basic requirements. Interprets and translates routine requirements into functional specifications.
  • Assists in the development and execution of moderately complex tests to validate system functionality against specifications.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 2+ years of experience in defense related aviation maintenance, operational, and logistical capabilities
  • 1+ years of experience with data analytics capabilities and data science processes as an analyst
  • Experience with performing analysis utilizing various structured and unstructured data sources
  • Experience with a variety of databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working in SAFe or Agile teams
  • Understanding of data visualization techniques

Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience or relevant military experience (e.g. Master +1 years' related work experience, 7 years' related work experience, etc.).
