Position Specific Description

Seeking a motivated Full Stack Developer. Qualified applicants should have at least 1 years' experience in hands on development which includes the full development lifecycle. The candidate should also be a flexible developer that has experience with or is able to adapt to the ever-changing Technology environment and demonstrate a positive attitude and passion towards learning new technologies. Employees in this role will be part of the customer Service Digital Communication Platform team with a primary focus on creating the FPL / FPLNW Bill presentment.

Roles and responsibilities:
• Develop/Work with the project teams on key Java/OpenText projects
• Problem solve issues with Java, AWS, OpenText applications
• Communicate with end users to understand requirements and recommend cost effective solutions
• Use Code Repositories such as Git / GitHub
• Strong verbal skills to be able to communicate effectively with other developers, end users and management
• To be able to effectively code, load new software/database versions and create process flow diagrams for testers and end users to understand the application functionality

Experience with the following technologies is required:
• AWS Services such as ECS, Lambda, ECR, Cognito, Cloudfront, ALB, DocumentDB, and Cloudfomation
• HTML, CSS and Java script
• Relational and NoSQL databases such as Oracle, DB2, MongoDB
• Familiar with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins

Experience with the following technologies is a plus:
• OpenText knowledge
• RESTful Web Services

This position assesses, designs, develops, integrates and troubleshoots technology to support business processes. Employees provide technical or functional guidance to project or work teams, as needed within specific or multiple disciplines. This position works to ensure the reliability, performance, security, and continuity of IT systems, as well as to ensure that excellent technical support services are provided.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, debugs, implements, maintains, integrates, customizes and enhances existing or new systems
• Applies appropriate Agile or development methodologies, system development lifecycles, tools, and technology
• Automates the handoff of code releases from development to operations (DevOps)
• Participates in the change management and service ticket management processes including receiving, resolution monitoring, and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Builds strong working understanding of the solution being delivered
• Ensures user satisfaction by providing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of more complex problems
• Designs, develops, and tests experimental application work to test new ideas with bounded cost and time frames
• Ensures that applications processes are conducted in line with corporate social responsibility, security, compliance, environmental, and technical policies and applicable standards and legislation
• Acts as liaison with regulatory agencies, vendors, and contractors on matters relating to computer systems as required
• Defines metrics and monitors Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for systems being developed
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
