Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Provides subject matter expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration, and acceptance testing; and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Designs details of automated systems. May provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems. May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Single pre-existing application within single technical domain.
  • Supports a defined segment of the organization (e.g. region, functional area).
  • Works with region / functional leaders to understand business objectives and imperatives.
  • Assesses currently applied IT / technical systems to ensure they are fit-for-purpose.
  • Identifies and applies technical and process enhancements to improve functionality.
  • Translates new or unmet business needs into technical and system requirements.
  • Partners with technical team members to identify technologies and methods to meet new business needs.
  • Provides system application support.
  • Trains end users in the application of existing and new technologies.
  • Responds to day-to-day questions on feature functionality.
  • Supports grooming of items in application backlogs.

Skills:

  • Ability to understand multiple priorities and adjust plans / schedules in an effort to achieve business objectives.
  • Possesses technical computer knowledge and basic understanding of concepts and principles.
  • Familiar with software design, systems architecture, change control, and support processes.
  • Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening.
  • Understands necessity of tailoring communication to meet audience needs.
  • Builds solid working relationships with fellow Team Members, allied technical Team Members, and with customers / clients.
  • Builds stable working relationships internally.

Education & Experience:

  • BA/BS degree 0-2 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
