In this role as a Associate Business Systems Analyst, you will be working on the Mountain West IT support team. The candidate will be supporting new users, providing assistance for over 10 OptumCare Markets, providing daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly reports for each supported department. Additional duties include cross training on ECG, DataRAP, Alliance, and AR. The candidate will be responsible for writing business requirements for new implementations, as well as performing test plans, and executing the test plan before going to production.
Positions in this function create and deliver high quality system solutions for our applications, products, and services across all technology functions. They consult with users and technology specialists to define business processes and the information systems for supporting those processes. Individuals in these roles may perform analysis, and also serve as business liaisons to understand and refine business requirements. They provide technical support in developing systems that are cost effective and meet users' requirements. This function works to create systems that work together in a cohesive manner, enforcing standards and methods consistently across the enterprise. Roles may support both current system improvements and maintenance along with new system development.
You will telecommute and meet the telecommute requirements as you take on some tough challenges. Must be able to work Monday - Friday core business hours in Mountain West Time Zone.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Logs and documents effectively in Smartsheet ticket logging systems
  • Monitors and logs tickets for the OPC Portal, E-mail boxes, responding timely to E-mails and issues
  • Create and maintain documentation for technical support of business and information systems
  • Works on OPC Support daily, weekly and monthly tasks, with limited oversight
  • Assesses and interprets client needs and requirements, translates concepts into practice
  • Assists or works on designated small projects, to include but not limited to documentation, output, and presentation
  • Participates in meetings, provides input and shared documentation
  • Provides effective communication, explanation, and technical support to system end-users, provides resource for SME (subject matter expert)
  • Prioritizes and responds to tasks and adheres to SLA requirements
  • Acts as liaison between systems software development staff, vendor staff, and management of system end-users
  • Provides documentation for workload tracking, statistics, and summarized reporting
  • Analyzes, investigates business and user needs, and provides appropriate solutions
  • Maintains Schedules with a high degree of accuracy
  • Enters / Edits information in data tables

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 2+ years of experience within application support and troubleshooting
  • Experience with end user testing
  • Experience in workflow documentation and processes
  • Experience with Microsoft Word (create and edit documents); Microsoft Excel (data manipulation; sort / filter; create spreadsheets); Microsoft Outlook (emails and calendars)
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday core business hours in Mountain West Time Zone

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (or higher)
  • Clinical experience
  • Experience in assisting / maintaining provider and staff relationships
  • Experience in an office setting or virtual - working as a team with others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to assist a diverse population of callers/ system users both internally and externally

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $54,400 to $97,000. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $60,000 to $106,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
