Job Profile Summary:
The Assistant Director, Data Analytics and Insights will oversee the data strategy, insights, and storytelling for marketing, across all consumer journey touchpoints, field initiatives, and enterprise objectives. This individual will be responsible for looking end-to-end across our data ecosystem, enabling new capabilities, and ensuring ongoing operational health. This leader directs a team that helps define, build, and optimize the connected field and client marketing data portfolio, acting as a central program management function that operates across multiple teams, including engineering, marketing technology, and business strategy. This individual should have a strong ability to communicate and will be accountable for delivering results to our senior leaders.
Primary Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Supervise accurate data procurement and campaign execution through acting as a liaison between marketing stakeholders and data delivery partners, maintaining effective communication of strategy, goals, and timelines.
  • Provide strategic direction and support for sophisticated analysis focused on answering detailed questions and telling a story around the data to support both client and field marketing initiatives.
  • Define and implement consistent measurement standards and reporting across all programs, leverage data to inform key business decisions, and make recommendations on how to move programs forward.
  • Lead the team through analyzing current initiatives and campaign data to help determine the effectiveness of marketing programs. Leverage findings and trends to find opportunities and make recommendations to the business and the marketing leaders.
  • Build out comprehensive, automatic reporting capabilities that support real-time data, allowing teams to more efficiently identify trends, performance changes, and adjust strategy real-time to promote client engagement and growth.
  • Partner on developing a multi-year strategy for the implementation of a Centralized Data Platforms to unify disparate systems into a single source of truth for our customer.
  • Act as a primary lead in a cross-enterprise analytics council built to prioritize incoming marketing work through right sizing the effort and impact the request will have on the team, key partners, and the enterprise.
  • Be seen as a trusted leader with the ability to influence, develop and maintain a highly effective team.


Qualifications, knowledge, skills and/or abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, or related field.
  • 10+ years marketing experience, with a focus on data measurement and analytics.
  • An understanding of the customer lifecycle and past success in developing and delivering client-centric marketing programs.
  • Demonstrated success working in matrixed environments; while building and maintaining positive relationships with peers and partners across multiple business areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams; and develop a team of top performers.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize incoming and ongoing work in alignment with Marketing initiatives.
  • Obsessive attention to detail.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to use data to optimize current programs and processes and identify new opportunities. Experience with relational databases SAS or SQL is preferred, familiarity with R or Python is a plus.
  • Experience with strategic development and/or building regression, predictive, or uplift models is a plus.
