Job Summary

This position is currently available for work at home to candidates that reside in the following states: Idaho, Kansas, New Mexico, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah or who reside in neighboring states and within 60 miles of Chadds Ford, PA or Lenexa, KS.
The Asset and Configuration Management Senior Analyst is responsible for ensuring proper maintenance of Bread Financial's Configuration Management System (CMS), including executing supporting operations and partnering closely with the manager of the team to set strategy and implement changes.

Job Description

Essential Job Functions

Partner closely with team members and team manager to develop and implement a cohesive configuration management system, including an accurate asset inventory and properly maintained configuration management database (CMDB). Clearly communicate the teams’ operational responsibilities with partner organizations to ensure that they take action to meet organizational objectives. 

Effectively execute against the asset and configuration management vision. Partner with key stakeholders, including IT process owners, IT Risk, CMDB Admin, and Information Security to maintain an effective CMDB.

Operational Duties:

Own and execute aspects of the Asset and Configuration Management process across internal and external providers

Maintain key aspects of the configuration management system (CMS) including the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)

Own and maintain data models that enable the assessment of the impact and cause of cross-delivery incidents, problems, and proposed changes

Reviews data models of providers where relevant to ensure integration

Execute processes to ensure that clear ownership for components, configuration items, and assets is maintained and up to date

Own and execute processes to verify that CMDB is complete and up to date. Perform follow up with asset owners as appropriate to ensure maintenance is performed as necessary

Work with team members and make recommendations on process improvements to the overall CMS. Work with the team leader to implement process improvements to ensure that the needs of a changing business are continually met

Assist the team leader in the development of training for the Asset and Configuration policy and framework

Coordinate closely with team members to ensure all work is executed timely and accurately

Reports to:

Senior Manager, Asset and Configuration Management

Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements:

Normal office environment, some travel may be required.

Direct Reports: Zero, this is an individual contributor role

Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in business, management or a related field is required.

3 - 5 years of related professional work experience

Experience working in a highly regulated industry (e.g. Healthcare, Banking, & Financial Services)

Preferred Experience:

A Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) or other advanced degree is desirable.

ITIL certification

5 – 8 years of related experience Track record in Configuration Management role, preferably with evidence of applying controls around configuration data quality across multiple providers (internal/external),Experience with IT standards such as ITIL and COBIT is desired

Experience with a multi-provider ecosystem
