The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Knowledge/Experience:

• Specializes in working on cloud computing systems, specifically on big data technologies
• Solid experience and technical proficiency in Hadoop platforms and technologies
• High degree of proficiency in hands-on low level design, coding, automation, troubleshooting
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
• Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
• Ability to quickly learn and implement newer technologies, particularly on the Big Data side including HIVE, HBase, Kafka, Spark Etc.
• Working experience in banking domain
• Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a fast paced, deadline driving environment
• Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of business analysis
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications:

• 5+ years' experience as a Data Engineering, Data warehousing, Data Management and Data Governance.
• 5+ years' experience system analysis and in programming of software applications
• 5+ years' experience in managing and implementing successful projects
• 5+ years' experience at least one of the programming languages-Python, Scala, Java etc. and programming basics-Data structures
• 5+ years' experience in RDBMS and NoSQL, SQL is mandatory
• 5+ years' experience with big data tools- Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Impala, Hive, HDFS and related tools
• Good handle on working in distributed computing and cloud services platform (AWS, Azure etc.)
• Having knowledge of data management tools like Collibra, would be added advantage
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development
• Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

• Bachelor's degree/University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
