ECS is seeking an Application Systems Analyst to work in our Albuquerque, NM office.

Job Description:
ECS is looking for an Application Systems Analyst, providing support for Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM!

As an Application Systems Analyst, you will be working with the Mission Computing Services (MCS) team. The Mission Computing Services (MCS) team provides connected, innovative, digital solutions for the success of MCS and our partner organizations' information and data needs. As part of the MCS team, the Subcontractor shall provide IT support to MCS and other Mission partners.

For all work categories requested, individuals are required to obtain a DOE L or Q clearance. If you don't currently hold a clearance, you can be remote until your clearance is granted.

DAY-TO-DAY ACTIVITES/TASKS INCLUDE:
  • Provide ad hoc and standardized information reporting, visual data representations such as charts, graphs or grids. Tasks will include participation and contribution to business processes and workflows that result in team information sets, team process representations, and business models or information resources. Customer and business requirements documentation and decomposition is required for medium to large projects. Review and approval of report information and data is required prior to publishing to wide audiences. Ability to interpret user needs to confirm top level requirements is required. Ability to provide ad hoc reports from verbal instructions is required.
  • May be tasked to design, build, test and maintain basic information systems, data repositories, and user interfaces. These systems will range from Excel data extracts and reports, to use of enterprise class reporting tools for robust data visualizations. Must be able to provide a graded approach to provide data and information outcomes based on benefit vs. costs. Approvals will require descriptive and visual representation of system components and data transformations using appropriate communication tools such as data flow diagrams, use case diagrams and descriptions, and other standard developer communication tools and techniques. End user training in the use of the reports, tools, visualizations, etc. is required.
Required Skills:
  • BD/BA Degree
  • Create ad hoc reports using data connectors and data extract/import techniques
  • Design and implement standard information systems, with ability to gather and implement user requirements as needed
  • Experience providing visualizations, reports, graphs and related information products offered by the Tableau product
  • Experience in use of a variety of enterprise class reporting tools may substitute for experience in use of the Tableau product
  • Expert knowledge in providing reports using Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of relational database systems
  • Working knowledge of ETL concepts and techniques
Desired Skills:
  • Use of Microsoft PowerBi is beneficial but not required for translation of reports to be maintained in business unit supported tools
