Consumer Insight, Measurement & Analytics (CIMA) is part of the Disney Parks, Experiences and Products (DPEP) segment of The Walt Disney Company. CIMA influences data-driven and consumer-centric decision making with integrated, objective, and actionable insights.
The Advanced Analytics & Optimization Manager will leverage multiple statistical methodologies to develop insights into our guest, and other consumers and incorporate these insights in marketing and sales programs. At the direction of senior leadership, this role will also develop and implement data mining projects for the wider Consumer Insight, Measurement & Analytics organization. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Manager, Advanced Sales Analytics
What you will do: • Develop guest and consumer models for various business units within Disney Parks, Experiences and Products (DPEP)• Transform model results into insights to help stakeholders understand opportunities to drive business value.• Develop and deliver action-oriented, insightful analytic presentations that provide consultative direction to key stakeholders• Create other statistical models for various DPEP business units and business problems• Perform exploratory data analysis to gain insights into the business operations and to validate data
What you will need: • Minimum 2 years professional work experience• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to summarize and present complex analytics to senior leadership• Experience with various analytic, data mining and machine learning methodologies including: multivariate regression, mixed models, clustering, time series regression, and forecasting• Experience with R or Python
What will set you apart: • 5 years professional work experience• High proficiency with using R or Python for data mining• Prior work experience within media agency or analytics consulting firm• Expert in advanced data mining and statistical methodologies• Experience with SQL and relational databases
Required Education • Master's degree or equivalent in statistics, mathematics, economics, data mining, computer science, engineering or operations research
Preferred Education • PhD or equivalent in statistics, mathematics, economics, data mining, computer science, engineering or operations research
