About the role

As an analytics engineer, you will be sitting at the intersection of business, analytics and technology. You will be working with data engineers, analysts and business partners to define data requirements and transform raw data into reusable data assets that are ready for analytics. A successful candidate should have demonstrated experience in working with a cross-functional team and applying your technical expertise combined with strong business acuity to develop data and analytics solutions.

What You'll Be Doing

• Define data requirements and design data models based on business use cases and requirements
• Deliver well-defined, transformed and aggregated data sets and tables to enable efficient data analysis
• Develop and prototype data pipeline and work with Data Engineering team to automate these pipelines
• Build data logic and visualizations to empower business users to do their own analysis and extract insights
• Build software tools to drive innovation and efficiency and enable analysts to work more efficiently
• Collaborate with data engineers to perform data QA and validation of new data sources ingested into BigQuery

What Would Make You A Strong Fit For The Role?

• B.S or M.S. in Computer Science, Physics, Statistics or Engineering
• 6+ years of experience building and optimizing large and complex data sets that meet business requirements.
• Solid knowledge in data modeling and ELT workflows
• Experience with cloud-based data warehouses like BigQuery, Snowflake and Redshift and database scheduling tool like airflow
• Fluency in SQL; experience with a programming language such as R or python a big plus
• Experience working as part of a data team; or as a data engineer with a passion for analytics and data science
• Positive, solution-centric mentality, and excellent interpersonal skills
