About the Role:

• In close collaboration with Data Management team, is responsible for the enhancement and refactoring  of Analytics and BI data models. Develops, enhances, and provides insight for data architecture by collaborating with Analytics andBusiness stakeholders.
• Serves as a data model subject matter expert for the company’s business intelligence platform, including but not limited to healthcare claims, third party insurance data, proprietary datasets, and complex reporting needs. 
• Supports delivery of data to Analytics stakeholders for analytics purposes, as business requires. 
• Identifies data requirements to integrate new data sources, enhance existing models, or develop new systems,  providing consultative data and analytical support to internal and external customers on various data projects. 
• Implements dbt/SQL data transformations to meet these critical business intelligence data model needs, abiding by best practices set by Data Management team.
• Assists, in close collaboration with the Data Management team, in the development of processes/architecture to combine healthcare claims and reference data into integrated databases and applications to ensure consistency across the organization. 
• May represent Cityblock Health in a client-facing role with partner companies or clients in data evaluations and requirements and design meetings.

Requirements for the Role:

• Bachelors Degree in computer science, CIS, MIS, computer engineering or related field; or equivalent experience
• 2 years experience within the healthcare industry
• 4 years experience in a technical role
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Experience with relational and DMR modeling techniques
• Solid data modeling and information classification expertise at the enterprise level
• Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws

How We Define Success:

• Delivery of a business intelligence data model
• Delivery of analytics data model(s) to support business needs
• Production of a viable business intelligence data model
• Production of viable analytics data models supporting Analytics and Finance needs
• Documentation and maintenance of business intelligence layer data architecture roadmap

Nice to Have, But Not Required:

• Advanced experience with dbt, BigQuery, and Looker/LookML preferred
