Whole Foods is looking for an Analytic Platforms Administrator who can drive and maintain optimal performance of Tableau Server, while ensuring seamless integration with multiple platforms. You will be part of a creative team responsible for enterprise-wide BI solutions and services.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and upgrade applications to enable large-scale, distributed analytics
• Write scripts to automate processes or to allow for custom integration
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and delivery teams to ensure platform success
• Participate in capacity planning to ensure servers can meet current and future demands
• Proactively identify issues by developing and/or leveraging monitoring and alerting tools
• Understand business impacts to develop recovery plans with correct operational priority
• Understand business needs and guide them to the right tools
• Teach best practices by delivering trainings, participating in office hours, and mentoring others
• Administer new BI/Analytic environments as our roadmap evolves

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Critical thinking, excellent verbal and written communication skills
• 4 years of experience administrating Tableau Server
• 2 years of scripting/programming experience - python, shell, or powershell
• 2 years of writing complex SQL queries
• Experience with AWS infrastructure and core services: IAM, EC2, S3
• Experience with AWS analytic and data services: Redshift, Athena, Glue, RDS
• Experience with Windows Server Administration
• Experience with Linux, Red Hat preferred
• Willing to work in an evolving role and comfortable with ambiguity
• Learn new technologies and methodologies to support strategic goals
