Responsibilities

Our Specialty Benefits Data and Analytics team is looking for a new member to enable data consumption across Business Intelligence and Analytic teams! In this role, you will have the opportunity as a technical data management & positioning expert to collaborate with a team of BI (Business Intelligence) & Analytic professionals. This role will partner with IT for efficient data delivery to enable strong consumption patterns, so the teams are leveraging meaningful data products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an analytics related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of related work experience with proven experience in a data engineering or data analytic role.
  • Ability to collaborate with IT Partners and BI Analysts to build rich, high-performing data models for use in Power BI and Data Science tooling.
  • Ability to partner with IT data teams to collaboratively deliver data assets while influencing qualities around data consumption.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence team members on technical direction, business intelligence delivery, and business understanding.
  • Experience with data governance to ensure best practices are followed - documentation, change management, data protection, metadata management, security, and more.



Technical skills & tooling knowledge:

  • Data modeling techniques for BI and Analytic consumption (Kimball methodologies) required.
  • Advanced data querying, transformation, and processing languages such as SQL, Python, Power BI DAX/M Query, or SAS.
  • No/Low code ETL and Orchestration platforms such as AWS Glue DataBrew, Power BI Dataflow and/or SAS.
  • SCM technologies. Examples include GitHub.
  • Operational, enterprise, and analytical relational/non-relational data stores such as PaaS cloud technologies, SQL Server, Oracle, and DB2.
  • Experience with development and workflow methodologies such as Kanban.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and surrounding ecosystems (AWS preferred but not required).



Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range

$73100 - $142800 / year

Work Environments

This role offers the ability for in-office, hybrid (blending both office and remote work in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements. You'll work with your leader to determine which option may align best based on several factors.
