Design, plan, coordinate, configure, implement, oversee, and maintain complex System Infrastructure and data center environments specializing in Red Hat Linux. Manage processes and projects related to hardware architectures and integration.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Proficiency in planning, implementing, integrating, and supporting Red Hat Linux OS.
• Proficiency in system analysis techniques with excellent organizational skills
• Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies
• Understanding of RedHat Linux
• RedHat Linux and Window Administration
• Virtualization technology to include VMware experience. 
• Knowledge of hardware server builds to include understanding of components and functions. 
• Demonstrated excellent customer support capabilities. 
• Experience with scripting using Bash and yaml. 
• Experience with Automation Tools preferably SALT.
• Experience supporting end users and troubleshooting problems in a production environment. 
• Experience with monitoring tools (Splunk) and performance tuning. 
• Experience with Red Hat Satellite used for patching and typical system administration support tools. 
• General knowledge of networking protocols. 
• The ability to perform on-call rotation. 

Responsibilities

• Procure, implement, configure, monitor, and maintain Linux OS server Hardware.
• Provide business and after-hours support of production application environment.
• Troubleshoot system malfunctions with minimal assistance, and provide analysis and recommendations for resolution and prevention.
• Apply standard system analysis techniques and procedures, in consultation with applications teams, to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications.
• Coordinate and communicate the change control process to peer teams and business partners. 
• Implement requested changes to the production environment.
• Provide input in developing processes that facilitate resource and capacity planning, disaster recovery and business continuity, and that provide proactive application performance improvements.
• Manage medium to large hardware implementation and/or integration projects.
• Develop and establish processes that facilitate the management of hardware and software assets in data center portfolio.
• Train, mentor, coach, and develop less experienced system analysts; serve as point of escalation for urgent system issues.

Desired Work Experiences

• 4 year degree in Computer Science
• Production-level integration support, systems analysis, and implementation services in large data center environment (2-4 years)
• Proficiency in systems analysis techniques and project management required
