Why This Role Is Valuable
This position will support the Risk Management department in procurement of insurance as well as claims and data management. The candidate will streamline and elevate insurance reporting through use of the Risk Management Information System (RMIS). The candidate will be expected to produce high-quality reports on the various insurance programs and support the day-to-day insurance requests of the portfolio companies. As an integral part of the team the Risk Analyst will work with all facets of the Risk Management department. This position is based out of Revantage's headquarters in Chicago, IL.
How You Add Value
- Manage and maintain department Risk Management Information System (RMIS) to streamline renewals and create meaningful dashboards
- Support the risk team by maintaining and updating the property schedules in RMIS as assets are acquired and disposed
- Create, maintain, and distribute reports from RMIS to help the department manage upcoming renewals
- Take an integral role in the creation of meaningful insurance-related dashboards with continued improvement in mind
- Assist in the production of reports for budgeting, allocation, key metrics, renewals, trend analysis, and other necessary reporting for various stakeholders
- Collect exposure data from various stakeholders and participate in the procurement of major enterprise-wide insurance programs
- Assist in insurance allocations and renewal communication to portfolio companies
- Provide timely support to various portfolio companies on a daily basis
- Support estimating efforts for a robust acquisition pipeline
- Take ownership of certain program placements including flood and pollution across all portfolio companies
- Main point of contact for a certificate of insurance requests from both portfolio companies and lenders
- Provide risk management support to portfolio companies through review of vendors' and third parties' certificates of insurance among other requests
- Work with internal and external accounting personnel to ensure timely processing of insurance-related invoices
- Assist in the placement and management of construction insurance policies
WHAT YOU BRING TO THIS ROLE
Required:
- 2022 graduate with a bachelor's degree from an accredited college
- First-class interpersonal skills, including relationship building & maintenance
- Excellent communication (verbal & written), numerical, presentation & organizational skills
- Demonstrate strong teamwork skills
- Effective reasoning and decision-making skills
- Strong negotiation and investigation skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and follow up in a timely manner
- Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where superior time-management and prioritization skills are essential
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems, particularly Excel
