Our success is dependent on building teams that include people from different backgrounds and experiences who can challenge each other’s assumptions with fresh perspectives. To that end, we look for a diverse pool of applicants including those from historically marginalized groups — women, people with disabilities, people of color, people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and/or gender nonconforming, first and second generation immigrants, veterans, and people from different socioeconomic backgrounds.

Outreach is seeking an Analyst Relations (AR) Manager to lead the day-to-day interactions with and education of key industry analysts at first and second tier analyst firms including Forrester, Gartner, IDC, and others. You will be responsible for ensuring Outreach is top of mind for all relevant industry analysts by ensuring we have consistent communication cadence designed to educate and influence the industry analysts that follow and write about Outreach’s category. This role will work closely with Outreach’s product, product marketing and customer marketing teams, and will be responsible for crafting and executing on the AR strategy. The right candidate will have sales technology domain expertise as well as strong communication, project management and research skills.

Location: Open to remote work in the United States

Your Daily Adventures Will Include:

  • Interfacing with industry analysts. You will have regular interactions with relevant analysts to understand their research agendas and to ensure that Outreach is not only supporting those agendas but also influencing them. We are leading the creation of a new category. You will need to provide consistent and continuous education to the analyst community regarding our current and future vision for the category.
  • Executing on briefings and inquiries. Analyst briefings allow providers to educate the analysts on their vision, product road map, new capabilities, and ability to impact customer outcomes. Inquiries allow providers to learn from the analysts. Both can be used to influence and align with the analyst community. You will set up a regular cadence for these meetings and ensure the right Outreach practitioners are involved and prepared to maximize our impact in these sessions.
  • Managing evaluative research studies. Both Forrester and Gartner conduct deep evaluative research in the form of The Forrester Wave and The Gartner Magic Quadrant. You will manage Outreach’s support of these high-stakes research studies and will be responsible for gathering and consolidating all the necessary information. You will write our responses to the questionnaires as well as present any other information needed to support these studies.
  • Managing analyst firm contracts. You will be responsible for overseeing the research budget and managing the contractual relationships with our research firm partners.
  • Supporting internal research projects. You will partner with our global innovation evangelist on various research projects to accelerate our ability to bring our differentiating thought leadership to market. This can include collaborating on survey creation, conducting qualitative interviews as well as writing and co-authoring research studies and articles.
  • Amplifying the Outreach brand. Under the outreach umbrella you will build a dynamic and authentic professional brand on LinkedIn and any other relevant social platforms. You will do this by curating content, creating spaces for your audience to engage, and by amplifying Outreach’s point of view through share and comments. You will share our thought leadership and your own content in ways that amplify our vision, market leadership, and company values.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of experience managing Analyst Relations at a B2B technology company, working as a researcher at a top tier analyst firm, or equivalent
  • Experience responding to and managing vendor evaluation forms such as Forrester New Techs, Forrester Waves, Gartner Market Guides
  • Strong project management experience and skills

  • Exec-level presence and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills and a track record for creating and delivering clear and compelling messaging and storyline arcs
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and executives
  • Experience in working with sales or marketing industry analysts is desired
