Overview
The Pricing and Strategy Quantitative Analyst will perform quantitative research and analytics to support the Corresponding Lending Group's (CLG) business strategies and initiatives. This position will develop and maintain models supporting Loan Pricing as well as provide quantitative analysis support to pricing, sales and executive functions.
Job Description

  • Building CLG's NEC reporting and trending system
  • Statistical Analysis and algorithmic calculation of Loss Exposure and Default probabilities
  • Statistical Analysis and calculation of Prepayment metrics and trends
  • Analysis of competitive position and automation of competitive intelligence reporting
  • Performing demand elasticity analysis and building profit optimization model
  • Performing margin management analytics and developing strategies
  • Analysis of correspondent closing ratios and fall-out sensitivity
  • Analysis of correspondent prepayment, EPO, and EPD metrics
  • Analysis of correspondent pipeline behavior including extension/roll/relock activity, time to deliver, number of days from file delivery to purchase, and other operational cost metrics
  • Implementation of client tiering and price differentiation
  • Implementation of trending and surveillance reporting
  • Specifying requirements for system changes
  • Analysis of opportunity and risk of new product offerings
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • 1-3 years of experience with SQL and Excel
  • 1-3 years of experience in the residential mortgage finance, preferably with such experience in Secondary Marketing or Correspondent Lending.
  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Decision Science, Mathematics or Quantitative Analysis
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills and proficiency in statistical analysis, quantitative methods, computational math, and probability distributions
  • Strong ability to work independently and with other team, staff and management
  • Strong attention to detail , ability to exercise independent judgment on projects, prioritize critical business initiatives, research data independently and draw productive inferences for reports and recommendations.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment
