Analyst, Ops Analytics

The Analyst, Operations Analytics will play an integral role on our Data Infrastructure and Performance (DIP) team within the broader Enterprise Applications and Technology (EAT) org. This person will be the first analyst on a new team focused on making sure the EAT team is being intrinsically data-driven; working on projects with the highest ROI and seeing the downstream benefits of those projects. We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic candidate with experience analyzing data and deriving insights to drive and measure process and system improvements. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and curious person who enjoys diving into the data and getting their hands dirty.
About this roll* (Responsibilities)
- Build tools / dashboards to automate reporting and generate insights that will allow business leaders to quickly and accurately see how our products and processes are performing
- Partner with our Central Ops team to define, track, build and report on important operational metrics that ensure we are making progress on key business objectives
- Perform proactive ROI analyses to help EAT prioritize work most effectively, use data to demonstrate the results of new feature releases and make recommendations on next steps
- Develop the necessary structure and processes to keep our operational data clean and valuable in close partnership with our R&D, Business Systems and Architecture teams
- Identify gaps / opportunities to improve our data warehouse, synthesize requirements to our data infrastructure teams as they aim to optimize our data warehouse for business impact
- Proactively identify areas outside the regular stream of business requests where this new team can add value - have that “canary in a coal mine” mentality when it comes to data
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a quantitative field
- 2+ years experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Management Consulting / Finance roles
- 2+ years experience with SQL and enterprise BI tools (Looker or similar tools)
- Excellent communication skills - verbal, written and via data visualization
- Ability to efficiently analyze large volumes of data, quickly draw insights, and present concise / clear recommendations of results
- Ability to navigate and work cross functionally with business and technical teams (business stakeholders, product owners, and data/analytics engineering)
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, changing environment and to adapt while focusing on key goals and objectives
Special Sauce: (non-essential skills, nice to have)
- Work experience in a high growth tech or SaaS company
- Experience with Snowflake, Airflow, GitHub, AWS, dbt
- Familiarity with NetSuite, Salesforce and/or MDM solutions
- Python (Pandas, NumPy, Seaborn, etc) proficiency
