Overview
The role of the analyst is to performing reporting and analysis under the direction of the Director of Portfolio Strategy.
Job Description

  • The analyst is responsible for various recurring, and non-recurring, reports that require knowledge of MS Excel and MS SQL database.
  • The analyst is responsible for running various pricing models to determine the value of the execution such as modification, refinance, short sale and deed-in-lieu.
  • The analyst is responsible for supporting marketing initiatives by correctly identifying the loan population (run lead model), calculate the terms of the offering (run pricing model), collaborate with Marketing department of data cut-off and report the results.
  • Apply the financial concepts to improve, or modify, existing pricing model.
  • Build the lead model for the business area the analyst support (refinance, modification, short sale, deed-in-lieu, foreclosure strategy, bankruptcy, or REO). This is achieved by pooling loans based on the key attributes that qualify the loan for the best execution.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • Proficient in MS Excel.
  • Experience with MS VB programming and MS SQL experience is a plus. Proficient in SQL.
  • Finance, Statistics, Math, Science or Engineering Majors preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word
  • Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
  • Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment
  • Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred
  • Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
