Responsibilities:

The Service Delivery Lead - Global Legal IT, is responsible for ensuring IT functional services and projects are delivered with quality, on time, on budget. The Global Legal IT Team supports company critical solutions that enable our Legal business partners to support and protect Lilly's most essential assets. This position will report to the Manager - Global Legal IT

  • Influence the various IT service providers/vendor's products, services, and technologies to align with the strategic directives of the assigned functional area
  • Direct accountability for ensuring operational excellence (ITIL) and Project Delivery Milestones and metrics are met for project in the functional or technology area
  • Ensure the alignment of operational and project resources to establish commitments with business partners
  • Prioritize enhancements, service and support initiatives for the service providers in the legal area
  • Work with business partners, IT and vendors to ensure projects and services are staffed and resourced appropriately.
  • Eliminate project barriers to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget
  • Ensure effective communications across Legal, IT, Quality and Service Providers
  • Manage the release and deployment strategy for each legal system or project
  • Ensure supported business areas achieve and realize value out of IT investments
  • Manage system support and continuous improvement
  • Work closely with IT quality representative to drive toward a high degree of quality, compliance and regulatory standards in the delivery of services and projects and ensure compliance with data security standards for all appropriate systems
  • Manage technical resources/contractors that support area system solutions
  • Maintain adherence to solution specific plans and procedures for system administration/security
  • Manage vendor relationships and adherence to deliverables, including support processes
  • Partner closely with solution architect and enterprise architecture groups to define and implement the IT infrastructure needed to provide optimal performance and stability for accountable systems
  • Ensure completion of CAPA related items including periodic reviews, access roster reviews, PI and CI assessments, and ensure appropriate controls are in place.



Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in an IT related field



Additional Preferences

  • Exposure to litigation e-discovery, intellectual property, Contract Management, Document Management, and Information Risk Management
  • Experience supporting Legal business processes and technologies
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms (O365/Azure, AWS, Force.com)
  • Restful API experience for integrations
  • Experience with Legal e-billing solutions
  • SAP Experience
  • Experience with support of high availability environments (servers, storage & database) and complex disaster recovery systems
