Job Title: Analyst - Client Onboarding and Transitions Management

Job Summary

Supporting the Head of Transition Management, the role will require interface with a range of internal and external parties across Client Onboarding, Legal, Product Management, Operations, Investment Teams, Compliance and Sales and Client Service across the whole Barings group.

Overall Purpose of Role

To act as a primary coordinator for implementation of new funds and segregated accounts and change management on existing funds and segregated accounts.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Transition Management, including facilitating meetings, maintaining key supporting transition management tools and initiating account set up and change requests on internal account systems.
  • Coordinating process of operations review on client Investment Management Agreements for segregated mandates, as well as driving forward establishment processes and documentation on more complex structures.
  • In association with operations teams, ensuring the timely and accurate set up of cash / securities custody accounts for Barings' segregated clients and in-house funds.
  • Liaising effectively with internal departments, as well as Global Custodians, Trustees, Administrators, Regulators, Counterparties and operational outsourcing teams to ensure custody account set up processes are optimised.
  • Actively contributing to the evolution of transition and onboarding processes as approaches, business lines and geographies are aligned and a new global approach adopted.
  • Assist is any ad hoc projects as demanded by senior management



Qualifications

  • Preferred - At least 1 years prior experience in a Transitions Management role in the asset management industry.
  • Essential - At least 2 years' experience in the asset management, custodian banking or investment banking industry.
