We have an opening for an early career analyst on our Analytic Consulting team who will help us communicate Included Health’s value to clients through insightful reporting and analysis. Our Analyst career progression at Included Health is Associate Analyst → Analyst → Senior Analyst → Lead Analyst → Staff Analyst → Senior Staff Analyst.

There is no one ideal candidate profile for this role; key traits you’ll need to succeed on this team include curiosity, strategic thinking, and strong relationship-building skills in addition to being a strong data analyst. You might have a benefits or management consulting background, experience in pharma, provider, or carrier organizations, or have worked in a public health setting. Regardless of your background, you have some experience analyzing healthcare-related data and are interested in growing your skills in a fast paced environment.

In this role you’ll dig into multiple different types of data like claims, eligibility, and product utilization and think strategically about how we can best communicate the value we’re delivering for specific client populations. In order to be effective in this role, you will need to develop a deep understanding of our products and services, the markets we serve and their distinct needs, and new custom analytics to demonstrate the impact and value of our products when specific client/prospect data may be limited.

We predominantly use SQL, Python, Looker, and Google Workspace tools to complete and share our work. We primarily use Jira, Confluence, Github, and Slack for communicating, collaborating, and managing our work and documentation.

We are a distributed team, but if you are local to San Francisco, Reno, or Lewiston you’ll have the opportunity to use one of our offices. To learn more about the solutions Included Health offers, take a look at this page on our website.

  • Engage with and serve as a collaborative partner to the Client Success and broader Go-to-Market team to clearly demonstrate our value proposition using data and analytics
  • Develop strong working relationships with the Client Success team aligned to your clients and client contacts where appropriate
  • Translate findings of complex analyses into internal and external intellectual capital and actionable recommendations
  • Occasional travel to client sites for business review meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of experience working with various types of data analysis, reporting, and presentation, preferably with some experience in a client oriented role; experience with healthcare data (e.g., claims, eligibility, EHR) a strong preference
  • Experience with data visualization techniques to effectively communicate the results of analyses
  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel/G-sheets; experience with Python for data analysis or automation a plus\
  • Experience interacting with and delivering complex data/analytic presentations to executive and/or client audiences
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute on deliverables in a timely manner
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

An Insider's view of Included Health

What's something quirky about your company?

At 3pm everyday, folks from IT and engineering do planks and increase the time by a couple seconds every day. I'm waiting for them to restart the clock before I join in again, but it's a nice ritual. We are a healthcare company, after all!

Megan

Engineering Manager

What's the biggest problem your team is solving?

To meet the emerging needs presented by COVID-19, we are expanding our capabilities and offering new product packages, building on our core clinical and technological strengths. When the Included Health team is passionate about a problem, we can deliver life changing products and services to our Members with agile speed

Kelsey

Chief of Staff

What does career growth look like on your team?

We're principled in our approach. Here at Included Health I spend a lot of time understanding where an engineer is going, and then working with them to build out a custom plan to get there. Career growth at Included Health is much more personalized vs. following a standard career ladder description.

Nick

Senior Manager, Data Engineering

What is your vision for the company?

Our vision is to personalize healthcare by leveraging technology and combining with the right human connection to navigate everyone, everywhere to the best medical outcomes. Think Jarvis (from Iron Man) as your personal healthcare assistant!

Anant Gupta

Sr. Director, Engineering

What makes someone successful on your team?

Each team member sets the culture of rooting for the team, practicing open communication, and driving healthy debate. They value the importance of their efforts towards making a meaningful difference to the lives of our members which helps them stay engaged and motivated every single day.

Vinay

Senior Software Engineer
