Job Description The Agility Lead aspect of the role is responsible for helping the Scrum Team improve in their ability to deliver software that provides value to our customers. They do this by ensuring Scrum is understood and enacted by adhering to Scrum theory, practices, and guidelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Translates requirements into meaningful stories that the scrum team(s) can deliver against.
  • Work with developers, user experience designers, subject matter experts, legal and compliance teams to obtain a well-rounded understanding of what is being asked for and our ability to deliver it within the constraints of our banking environment.
  • Assesses potential impacts and changes to our core UIs, middleware services and frameworks.
  • Juggle multiple initiatives at any given time, all with aggressive delivery expectations.
  • Refine stories to a level of detail that will enable code to be written and tested without defects; write acceptance criteria and generate test scripts.
  • Understand downstream impacts of changes to web services and coordinate with those teams to ensure they are in lockstep with the scrum team from a delivery perspective.
  • Assist developers in technical tasks; prepare code for analytics integration, feature flag integration, etc.
  • Leading and coaching a team along its Agile maturity and promoting delivery of business value
  • Acting as a leader to influence team member to seek and embrace incremental change that increases team performance
  • Identifying and implementing agile metrics to measure a team's Agility and then use those measures to help guide a team forward
  • Identifying, escalating, and removing team impediments that jeopardize sprint goals
  • Teaching and coaching application developers to adopt Continuous Delivery practices such as Test-Driven Development, Specification by Example, Story Mapping, and other Lean/Agile Modeling Techniques
  • Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews/demos, retrospectives, and release planning meetings
  • Promote improved team interactions, practices, and process through valuable inspect and adapt practices
  • Facilitate backlog refinement sessions to ensure robust backlog health
  • Act as a mediator and facilitate discussion and conflict resolution
  • Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practice

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must have a total of 5+ years of professional experience working as a Business Analyst, Technical Analyst, Agility Lead with an emphasis on delivering cutting edge technology within finance.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Proven strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Have played a Lead role in a large program.
  • Superior verbal and written communication and negotiation skills with the ability to forge lasting relationships at all levels of seniority.
  • Experience of working with Agile Development teams.
  • Proven to be someone that can drive results through recognizing steps to remove roadblocks and leveraging tenacity to get those steps accomplished.

  • Facilitative - Must be able to lead and demonstrate value-add principles to a team
  • Assertive - Must be able to ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to, must be able to be a voice of reason and authority, make the tough calls.
  • Situationally Aware - Must be the first to notice differences and issues as they arise, coach the team to resolve internally and if necessary, involve management
  • Enthusiastic Engagement- Must be high-energy and be a source for motivation/inspiration for individuals and teams looking for support and guidance
  • Continual Improvement - Must continually be growing ones craft learning new tools and techniques to manage oneself and a team
  • Conflict Resolution - Must be able to facilitate discussion and facilitate alternatives or different approaches
  • Attitude of Empowerment - Must be able to lead teams to self-organization
  • Attitude of Transparency - Must desire to bring disclosure and transparency to the business about development and grow business trust

Desired Certifications
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or other related certification.
  • Experience working in a large AD shop with highly distributed applications is a strong plus
  • Experience teaching and mentoring others in Agile process, including adapting Agile to make it work in various environments in a strong plus
  • Technical AD background preferred
