Job Description:

Advisory Data Analytics Manager

As a Manager, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supervising, training, and mentoring team members on accounting and business processes.
  • Collaborate with technical personnel to ensure the correct accounting data is being used and leveraged in our analytics.
  • Research and analyze accounting related issues within client data.
  • Actively engage with project sponsors and subject matter experts to collect information, resolve issues, and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
  • Balancing multiple projects with attention to detail while meeting deadlines
  • Accurately document and scope a project
  • Quickly develop a proof of concept from various data sources
  • Hands on building of client analytics from start to finish. This includes all aspects of data cleansing, data mapping, creating analytics, and visualizing data.
  • Collaborate with the data analytics team on methodology matters related to how auditing and accounting processes take place and identify areas where analytics can improve results.
  • Creating and evaluating procedures and data models
  • Keep abreast of the advancements of Microsoft's Business Intelligence platform
  • Comprehend and implement best practices in development
  • Maintain an exceptional relationship with internal and external clients

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of corporate accounting experience.
  • Ability to understand business requirements, retrieve relevant data from source systems and present to the customer in a quick, efficient manner.
  • Understanding of the full accounting cycle, from subledger activity to financial statements and month-end close.
  • Ability to grasp concepts quickly and reduce them to practice with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess a holistic understanding of how business processes create data and how that data is aggregated and stored in a company's ERP.
  • Cursory knowledge of databases, how they're created, and how their data is stored.
  • Knowledge of how programming languages work with an introductory level knowledge of SQL, Python or R.
  • Intermediate level understanding of Excel.
  • Cursory knowledge of Power BI, including DAX and M-Code.
