Job Description

POSITION PROFILE

As an Advisory Data Analyst, you will scope and lead large projects around Ricoh's data and reporting platform, working closely with the architecture and development teams to deliver analytics and reporting solutions that enable our business teams to continue growing and evolving Ricoh's business. You will work under the general direction of a Director or Senior Technology Manager, providing expertise and technical guidance that is backed up by an in-depth reporting, data domain expertise around cross functional areas of the applications and/or architecture.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Work with business stakeholders to identify business data content and analytics needs, define Ricoh's data strategy around it with innovative and effective solutions
* Work with databases, ETL and other tools to centralize data from multiple sources, optimize data efficiency and quality.
* Understand, interpret, and analyze data using current tools and techniques to provide ongoing reports. Provide data visualization using tools and techniques in easy to understand formats.
* Leads and executes projects and initiatives in full compliance with defined processes and controls.
* Develops and generates complex ad hoc reports and databases to address specific business needs.
* Recommends / suggests alternatives on analytics solutions to business challenges, train business teams on self service analytics capabilities.
* Gather and compile data, eliminate or reduce redundancy, maintain data integrity, improve data quality and availability. Monitor data quality and suggestion to improve data quality
* Provide technical guidance on new products and technology. Provide guidance for technical architecture, data modeling and ETL standards
* Communicates and coordinates with other team leads, business leadership, and development teams to ensure on time and budget deliveries.
* Advice and train new and Jr. Level data analysts with data analysis and developing reports
* Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications)

Typically Required:• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Information technology or related field.• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Information Technology with 2+ years experience leading complex IT projects around data integration, analytics and data warehouse platforms,• Minimum of 2 years of experience on MPP databases, preferably Snowflake• 3+ years of data analysis experience writing, understanding and performance tuning complex SQL queries on relational databasess(Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL or similar databases), preferably on Snowflake• Minimum 2 years of data engineering experience working on ETL tools, preferably using Informatica ETL tools• Minimum 2 years of experience working with data visualization tools (Qlik, OBIEE, Power BI or similar reporting software)• Hands on experience gathering requirements, driving design, and owning solutions from end to end.• Coding proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, etc)• Experience in data architecture and data design solutions, preferably AWS or other cloud solutions• Excellent critical thinking and problem problem-solving skills• Experience managing multiple large projects simultaneously. • Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with various senior level stakeholders.

Requires excellent negotiation skills. • Possesses facilitation skills including ability to organize, conduct and document effective meetings. • Possesses ability to clearly communicate technical and procedural information verbally and in written documentation form.• Possesses ability to recognize conflict situations and resolve many; escalates those that cannot be resolved.• Possesses ability to determine resolution for routine and non-routine issues; recognizes issues for escalation.• Possesses very good customer service and interpersonal skills; is motivated and team oriented. • Possesses ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects, is organized and dependable.• Possesses ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment. • Possesses ability to create, modify and execute complex project plans and participate in plan implementation with little direction.• Strategic thinker with courage to challenge requests and inspire collaboration for more innovative solutions. • Strong delegation skills, and quick decision making.

WORKING CONDITIONS, MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS• Typically, an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation, and a normal range of temperature and noise level. • Work assignments are diversified. Interpret, comprehend and apply complex material, data and instruction - prepare, provide and convey diversified information.• Minimal physical effort required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically with less than 10 lbs. (e.g., papers, books, files and small parts, etc.). Moderate dexterity - regular application of basic skills (calculator, keyboard, hand tools, eye/hand coordination.
