What You'll Do
We are looking for a versatile Senior Data Engineer who is highly motivated and ready to work with other engineers to design, develop, guide requirement gathering to build a world class compensation system, remediate bugs, review other developers' code, test, and enable new functionality that will benefit the compensation of Cisco sellers.

• Interface with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions & make recommendations
• Turn around solutions quickly but thoughtfully, balancing speed to market with quality, longevity and scalability.
• Develop analytics solutions to help measure the business and drive growth and efficiencies
• Lead discussions on data engineering, data model and data governance

As part of the Digital Enterprise Solutions team, you will be part of a global team delivering world-class services, tools, platforms, and data. From optimizing ERP systems, to bring to bear cloud service providers, to in-house development using the newest technologies, we are constantly innovating and evolving.
You will be part of a dedicated team that is responsible for paying accurate, timely and predictable sales commissions to 16,000+ Cisco sellers. The ability to incentivize the sellers to sell in alignment with Cisco products strategy is very critical to Cisco generating revenue and staying ahead of its competitors.
Who You Are
You are a strategic problem solver, able to connect dots, drive alignment, prioritize requirements and delivery timelines.

• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in a technical field
• 10+ years of software engineering (focused on Data) experience
• Interest in grasping complexities of Cisco's revenue generation and Seller compensation domain and drive technical/functional design and requirement discussions
• Experience with Snowflake, Oracle SQL/PL SQL, or SAP HANA is preferred
• Sound knowledge of AWS and Snowflake Architecture, warehousing concepts, and developing data pipelines via SQL and Python-based ETL framework
• Understanding of cloud technologies and solutions available on AWS and GCP such as Cloud Data Lake, query engines, cloud storage, compute, networking setup for connecting across multiple cloud providers, user access management and security.
• Experience in data analytics & visualization products like Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Power BI
• Hands on Experience on ETL tools (Matillion/Informatica) and crafting CDC, SCD implementation
• Knowledge of designing, implementing, deploying, and maintaining the ETL/ELT process and data flow, including data quality using various data integration tools.
• Support complex data analysis, and work with multiple multi-functional teams for ingestion and modelling of data from various sources
• Work with the project team, team leaders, project delivery leads, and client stakeholders to create incentive compensation management offerings powered by SAP (Callidus) or other equivalent technologies.
• Prior experience as a team member of successful software project implementations related to incentive compensation management, and experience in the capacity of a lead developer
• Experience working with other incentive compensation management technologies such as Varicent, Xactly, or other similar technologies.
• Experience with infrastructure and systems engineering, and scaling services on one of the public cloud is a plus
• Working knowledge of any programming language like Python, Scala or Java
• Proficient in data integration tools like Informatica, Del Bhoomi, source control, configuration, database tuning and reporting functions
• Ability to write simple to complex queries to support audit requests or business reporting requests and resolve technical production issues
• Exposure to noSQL and big-data technologies
• Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall development methodologies
• Experience with infrastructure tools including Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, Jenkins, and Git.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline utilizing Jenkins automation a plus.
• Good communication and organizational skills and can work successfully in a team environment.
