About the Role:
CrowdStrike is in search of a skilled Data Center Technician to assist in Integrating, Testing, and Configuring Data Center Hardware. The Data Center Technician role is a hands-on role performing systems integration activities as well as supporting our warehouse team in preparing hardware for integration and shipping. The candidate must be experienced in data center best practices, Linux, computer hardware components and networking.
We are currently open to candidates that are within a reasonable commuting distance to Las Vegas, NV as this is an on-site role.
What You'll Do:

  • Participate in Server and Network deployments and upgrades within a Production Data Center.
  • Participate in Production infrastructure builds outs.
  • Conduct Server configuration & Layer 2 Network configuration.
  • Participate in Server and Network deployments within a Production Data Center.
  • Troubleshoot equipment, using command line tools, at various stages to identify & remediate issues.
  • Utilize appropriate tools to install, configure, test and troubleshoot infrastructure nodes.
  • Install hardware and integrate into Production infrastructure.
  • Run fiber optic and copper cabling to support growing infrastructure.
  • Remediate hardware issues using manufacturing documentation and engineering specifications.


What You'll Need:

  • 4+ years experience supporting Production Data Centers.
  • Industry certifications a plus (e.g. CCNA, CompTIA+, Linux, etc.)
  • Comfortable using a command line interface.
  • Familiar with copper and optical cabling.
  • Understand power cabling and PDUs ("Power Distribution Units")
  • Comfortable using command line interfaces.
  • Familiarity with Linux and other cli operating systems.
  • Familiar with server, storage, internet technologies.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lb.
  • Ability to express good judgment to take action & move forward.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with both local and remote teams.
  • Ability to communicate technical information (verbally & in writing) to non-technical teams.


Bonus Points:

  • Experience supporting a large scale Production Data Center.
  • Knowledge with routing systems such as Cisco, Linux, Arista.
  • Industry certifications a plus (e.g. CCNA, CompTIA+, Linux, etc.).
  • Familiarity with a scripting language such as Bash, Python, GoLang.
  • Comfortable using a command line interface

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $65,000 - $115,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
